That may not have been 'our' Pete, but surely Clem Clempson can be the grinning, clown painted guitarist from The Sensational Alex Harvey Band?

Was it John Lennon who said 'Love those Goon Shows' ?

Thanx for these transcripts LaughingCrow - but it still won't persuade me to watch day time TV!

Brussels show on SoulSeeker

Those of you with SoulSeeker may be interested to know that the Belgian Radio1 show is available in MP3 and also ASF (frank - what were you wearing?).

Took a 40 minute detour on the way home tonight and bought North (inc DVD) for £14.

I'll probably see it in the local supermarket for less, but so what.

I now have a 'spare' downloaded copy. Should I delete it? Yes!

I listened to this show on the Net but am still envious of frank! It must have been fantastic.

The BBC Sold On Song promises to be a similar event, but in a larger venue I think.

BTW the 3rd track that Elvis had played was by Jack Teagarden.

A slight change of subject here, does anyone know if Live @ El Mocambo is to be reissued (there's a gap in the Rhino serial nos that would equate with it)?

I think he ran out of things to say, but can't think of anything better to do with his time (mind, a good friend of mine would be incensed if he knew I felt like that about his hero).

Desree - Life

I'm afraid of the dark
Especially when I'm in the park
When there's no one else around
Oh I get the shivers
I don't wanna see a ghost
It's the sight that I fear most
I'd rather have a piece of toast

Sorry if my weak attempt at irony confused you Rope. It is alledged that the dossier was 'sexed up' but it seems that the journalist is guilty of the same thing with his report.

It's a simple story of a journalist craving a headline, and 'sexing up' his report to embarass the government, who call for a witch hunt and somehow the 'source' get's named. Said source is then hounded and pilloried till he takes his own life - at which point every one else involved takes 2 steps b...

Heard Bowie's new single on BBC Radio 2. Reminiscent of Boys Keep Singing type guitars - much impressed.
Apparently there'll be an album preview with interviews etc on Sept 13th.
