...the one we all know and love? I was doing a search on Roger Whittaker records (don't ask) and came across this listing for an album called "Celebration" (note the 3rd name):

No particular knowledge here, but I'd bet it is -- how many professional drummers can there be with that name in the UK? Well, lots, actually, but the fact that it's "Pete" and not "Peter" probably narrows the odds, since there a bit more formal over there. (I used to have an English boss named "Peter." NO ONE called him "Pete" -- ever!)

The drummer on this album was actually the renowned drummer/vocalist Ian Thomas. As well as this album, he's also played on George Michael's "Faith" & "Listen Without Prejudice", Scott Walker's "Tilt", S Club 7's "7", Hue & Cry's "Next Move", Finbar & Eddie Furey's "Love Letters" and my personal favourite, Rick Astley's seminal 1993 album "Body & Soul", although I hasten to add that he only provided cymbals & tom tom on the latter. Having worked on Roger's Cleberation earlier that year, I guess he was just too knackered to handle the whole kit.

I believe that was Zal Cleminson.
