Dodgy Lyrics

"Tonight there's going to be a jailbreak, somewhere in this town"

Somewhere in this town? I wonder where?

I don't know why this one keeps coming to mind. . . . .

"I've been to the desert on a horse with no name"

Why?

Who cares? :)

You don't call a plane The Flying Roman, 'cause the Romans always walked and never flew.

When I wake up, in the morning light, I put on my jeans, and I feel alright.

I've got my blue jeans on, I've got my old blue jeans on.

Whtsde - I have to agree. Heaton and Rotheray have written some right dodgy lyrics!

How about:

"I was just walking by, when I looked in her eye
and I saw it was winking"

or

"Slowly walking down the hall, faster than a cannonball"

It's not smart, it';s not clever..........it is just shit.

There ain't no good guy.
There ain't no bad guy.
There's only you and me
And we just disagree.

Runner up (same band)

I can't fight this feelin' anymore
I've forgotten what I started fighting for
It's time to row this ship back to the shore
and throw away the oar
forever

"Damn it Jim,
I'm not a magician
And actually not even a doctor.
I'm not a fucking doctor."

and

Plug yourself in but your place is the space.
You are no Man from Atlantis, base-level bass level race."

You can dance if you want to;
You can leave your friends behind;
Because your friends don't dance
And if they don't dance
Then they're no friends of mine

I'm not talkin' 'bout moving in;
And I don't want to change your life;
But there's a new wind blowin' the stars around
And I'd really like to see you tonight.

Desree - Life

I'm afraid of the dark
Especially when I'm in the park
When there's no one else around
Oh I get the shivers
I don't wanna see a ghost
It's the sight that I fear most
I'd rather have a piece of toast

The Reflex - Duran Duran

You've gone too far this time but I'm dancing on the valentine
I tell you somebody's fooling around with my chances on the dangerline
I'll cross that bridge when I find it another day to make my stand oh-woah
High time is no time for deciding if I should find a helping hand oh-whoa
Why don't you use it try not to bruise it buy time don't lose it
Why don't you use it try not to bruise it buy time don't lose it

The reflex is a lonely child just waiting by the park
The reflex is in charge of finding a treasure in the dark
And watching over lucky clover isn't that bizarre
Every little thing the reflex does leaves you answered with a question mark

I'm on a ride and I wanna get off but they won't slow down the roundabout
I sold the Renoir and the TV set don't wanna be around when this gets out
So why don't you use it try not to bruise it buy time don't lose it
Why don't you use it try not to bruise it buy time don't lose it

The reflex is a lonely child he's waiting in the park
The reflex is in charge of finding a treasure in the dark
And watching over lucky clover isn't that bizarre
Every little thing the reflex does leaves you answered with a question mark

So why don't you use it try not to bruise it buy time don't lose it
Why don't you use it try not to bruise it buy time don't lose it

The reflex is a lonely child just waiting by the park
The reflex is in charge of finding treasure in the dark
And watching over lucky clover isn't that bizarre
Every little thing the reflex does leaves me answered with a question mark
Oh the reflex what a game he's hiding all the cards
The reflex is in charge of finding a treasure in the dark
And watching over lucky clover isn't that bizarre
Everylittle thing the reflex does leaves you answered with a question mark

Ah, the 80's... you had to be there.

from Billy Idol - Dancing With Myself:

On the floor of Tokyo
Or down in London town to go, go
With the record selection
With the mirror reflection
I'm dancing with myself

When there's no-one else in sight
In the crowded lonely night
Well I wait so long
For my love vibration
And I'm dancing with myself

and on and on and on...

Ooh, can I have another go?

"If I was a sculpturer
But then again, no."

Fat Reg and Bernie could come up with some classics couldn't they?
