CD circle

This is for all non-EC or peripheral-EC topics. We all know how much we love talking about 'The Man' but sometimes we have other interests.

CD circle

Post by ice nine »

Since I did not participate in the last circle and since it's been a while that we have had one I thought it may be time. I PM'ed Mike B., because these circles are his baby, and asked him what his plans were. He had no immediate plans to do one and I asked him if I could do one. He gave me his blessing so.......... If there is interest in having another one we will do one. I figure a two week period is more than enough to sign up. At the end of two weeks I will contact the participants and we can go from there.

I dunno. Last time I joined in, I didn't even hear from Vez whether or not he got the disc. I'm sure he had his reasons though. Oh well, I'll try again!

I will through my hat into the ring - if I had a hat, or a ring to through it into for that matter, but you get the general drift.

I hope that we get some new blood involved in the CD circle. We always seem to get the same participants. I hope that people are not hesitant because they feel their music is not as 'cool' as other's music.

Me too, though I guess we'll have to work that one out carefully. Close students of the circles will realise I am a pilke of poo as I failed to send mine to WSS. Funny thing was he got confused and sent his to me anyway, and then on to the real person. I compiled mine around that time and then sat on it for 1-2 months. Inevitably, the thought in my head that said 'if the worst comes to the worst, you can always deliver it by hand in NY' won over. I promise to be a good boy, and WSS was very patient, telling me he had enough music to last him till 2087, so there was no rush. Oh, and I'm still waiting for mine to arrive from round 1!!!

I am setting the deadline for sign-up to the circle as being next Sunday, because I hope we get more participamts. I'll explain how this circle jerk works for the members who are rudimenting their involvement. The members of this elite CD circle rip and burn a compilation CD of notable music that they think the receiver of said CD may or may not enjoy. The musical tracks to be included on the CD are selected is totally up to the sendee's transgression. Hopefully, the tracks one chooses are representatiional of the good taste the sendee has.

When the week is up I will compile the members who have signed up and pair them up. I will study the two previous CD circles to make sure no one is receiving a CD from the same person who sent them one in the past.

This weekend has been especially busy and I don't get a day off until Wednesday so the deadline to sign up, for those who haven't yet, is 12am
Teusday. So far we have: myself, mood, bamboo, Otis, WSS, Jackson, Mike, Blue, RTHRW, Chrille, and BWAP.

On my day off (Wed) I'll devise who sends what to whom.

How's this for the circle?

Boy With A Problem sends to BambooNeedle
BambooNeedle sends to RTHTW
Readytohearworst sends to BlueChair
Blue Chair sends to MoodSwung
Mood Swung sends to Chrille
Chrille sends to Mike B.
Mike B. sends to JacksonMonk
Jackson sends to Otis W.
Otis to Ice Nine
Ice Nine to WSS
WSS to BWAP

If I inadvertingly matched up a past match or left someone out please tell me and I will rectify the situation. I can't imagine that changes cannot be made. I'm hoping that in six weeks everyone will have gotten their CDs. Please swap addresses or you won't get your cd.
