Not so sure about that, ba. The name carried on after Danny died, and he was an original member.bronxapostle wrote:REST IN PEACE to CLARENCE. he is a FRIEND of mine! i'm gonna miss that guy. i say, it will NEVER be called the E STREET BAND again and it should NOT!!

Re: Elvis sang LAST song i'll ever see E STREET BAND play!
but, Bruce says this....
Clarence lived a wonderful life. He carried within him a love of people that made them love him. He created a wondrous and extended family. He loved the saxophone, loved our fans and gave everything he had every night he stepped on stage. His loss is immeasurable and we are honored and thankful to have known him and had the oppurtunity to stand beside him for nearly forty years. He was my great friend, my partner and with Clarence at my side, my band and I were able to tell a story far deeper than those simply contained in our music. His life, his memory, and his love will live on in that story and in our band.

Very sad news. He will be missed.

Amazing. Even though I was never a HUGE fan, I'm still feeling the darkness.

Clarence complimented Bruce so well. I just loved the way they interacted on the stories (which were sometimes better than the songs - although not often).
RIP Big Man.

Very sad to hear that.
Bruce's music and Elvis's music can hit me in the gut like few other artists can and just like Elvis is (IMHO) at his best with the Attractions/ Imposters, Bruce is at his best with E Street Band. I really hope that Bruce carries on with the E Street Band but the big man have left some awfully big boots to fill.
RIP The Big Man.

Don't have the man around anymore but we still have the music.
Listened to "Jungleland" today and it was/is wonderful.

kind of a shame it appears ELVIS made NO mention last night, huh? maybe he didn't want to spoil the party. but, he should have, Clarence deserved it!
