I'm curious.. what would be a good early Costello show to listen to which features a lot of material from Armed Forces?
I'm currently listening to Long Beach 1979, which has an interesting mood (and Sad About Girls..).

Long Beach -- that's February 14th, correct?
As I recall, that was a fairly good soundboard, and a decent show.
But for me, there just hasn't been a really satisfying appearance of a show from Armed Funk.
Bethlehem, PA is pretty good -- and the recording is a decent soundboard.
I saw both shows in Berkeley, (February 9th and 10th, I believe.)
The first show was unremarkable, other than there was nearly a riot by displeased attendees unhappy with the truncated length of the performance.
The 2nd night was spectacular.
Everyone I knew that was there was just absolutely blown away at how well-executed this show was.
I'd love to hear a good recording of it -- but none has surfaced, to my knowledge.

Not exactly what you're looking for, but there is the compilation The Armed Forces Live Collection 1978-1983.
