As usual, if i could have voted, i would have voted for ATUB. I know there are a lot of people in this board who choose earlier albums because they grew up with them and there's nothing you can do to change that. I personally think that if you take the albums for what they are, later albums are better without a doubt. But one of the best things about music is how it affects us personally, and a lot of people here are very attached to earlier albums, which imo makes them even better. But it's a mock to culture how nobody has voted for Brutal Youth. I mean c'mon people!
Preacher was a talkin' there's a sermon he gave,
He said every man's conscience is vile and depraved,
You cannot depend on it to be your guide
When it's you who must keep it satisfied

Thanks for summing up my feelings (and my vote) perfectly.martinfoyle wrote: My vote would go for Trust. Three years of almost non-stop working between the four of them, there's an awesome synergy about the sequence of songs on the original vinyl edition. The album flows perfectly all the way through, there isn't a wasted moment. Nick Lowe plays quite a part in it as well since he had to marshall the fairly fragile atmosphere here, the outtakes really are quite ragged. Still, the finished album is amazing and it's one opf Elvis finest moments.
