And she's made stepover boy her captain - he's not playing for Portugal today.

This one's doing the rounds. What's your Brazilian name?

http://www.minimalsworld.net/BrazilName/brazilian.shtml

I get: Your Brazilname is "Westinghousinhosa". I prefer my alter ego's name: 'Dinglinho'!

I have to pass this one on. The man who won our work Prem league (in the top 200 globally) and, surprise, surprise is top of our World Cup FF league goes by the name Dom Glennon. See what that generates! :D  :D

Excellent. I get either "Mattha" or "Mildo". The second one is a little too close to your colleagues' for my taste.

My boy got "Conraldo Santos". May have to use that one around the house!

Well it provided some good laughter in the workplace!

Shorter names seem to generate something random, so Otis W gives us Egra!

This just in :

"The Italian Football Federation (FIGC) will on Thursday unveil the names of any clubs or individuals that will be charged in connection with match-fixing allegations.
Guido Rossi, president of FIGC, said an announcement would be made after the Italian stock market closed (3.30 GMT), coinciding with the end of the Italian football team’s crucial World Cup match against the Czech Republic in Germany."

Hope this will make Italian players shaky enough to lose against Czech Republic.
Few things would make me happier today than seeing Italy go home after group stage.

Not me. That would mean the US going home regardless of the result against Ghana. The only chance we have is an Italy victory coupled with a defeat of Ghana.

Today is the day - C'mon USA!!!

Let's hope you get lots of net strikes

Har-dee-har-har!

They really need to do something about those rankings. We should be somewhere between 15 and 20 IMO.

FIFA are notorious crackheads, bless their little pea-pickin' hearts. And VG, let's talk absolute FF nightmares, shall we?

At work.

Great goal by Dempsey - really buried it. Terrible penalty decision.
The referees destroyed the Mavericks in the NBA finals - you cant apparently breathe on D Wade without fouling him - now they are doing their best to fuck up the World Cup. Shoot the lot of them I say and replace them with Robots!

2-1 to the ref! What an awful penalty decision (cue Otis with justification). Nicely taken goal by Dempsey. Think Arena will get Eddie Johnson on now - we need goals!

You're apparently not allowed to breathe on another player at this World Cup. Merk was the same ref who whistled fouls against Australia every time they came within a foot of the Brazilians.

Arrrggghh!!! What a disappointment. I can't fault our effort, but the quality was lacking when it mattered. Landon Donovan showed nothing over three matches. A ludicrous decision by the ref on the Ghana penalty. I also thought that Arena should have made changes much earlier. We needed two goals, and he wasted the first 15 minutes of the second half.

I don't see much to get excited about with this Ghana team. A lot of dramatic rolling around on the pitch and very wasteful with their own chances. Pimpong - fark off you drama queen!

Rant over.

This should be Merk's last game in this World Cup!!
Really, I can't stand referees spoiling the beauty of the game. With Italy beating Czech Republic you can now even argue what would have happened had he not whistled penalty. Wanker !
