I know it's been a long time since he lived in England, but EC seems like an odd headliner for Americana weekend.

Same as when he did the BluesFest show a couple of years ago. Let's hope this one is more successful...

So looking forward to this and not that long to wait after the Palladium. I would have thought that Almost Blue, King of America, Delivery Man, Sugercane and Ransom albums may feature quite heavily for this show, along with some reworkings, perhaps?

Tickets now on sale, and seem to be selling steadily. As ANCT says, he is an odd choice to headline an Americana weekend, but he has the songs that fit the bill. How many of them he will play remains to be seen. Maybe Elvis will turn up in a specially big hat and cowboy boots?
I saw Nick Lowe at BluesFest at the Empire Shepherd's Bush a few years ago, who began with an apology for anyone expecting him to play the Blues.
I have a spare ticket (end of row H) for sale at face value if anyone is interested. PM me or whatever The booking engine would not let me book a single and leave the single seat next to it unsold. I will be driving back to SE London after the show and could offer a lift to anyone from that part of the world too.

Right so...
...I went into the Colston Hall website to check it out and they had 2 Row B tickets. It seemed rude not to buy them.
I'm beginning to doubt if there'll be a London gig. He left London off Detour last year and might do the same thing this time. Looking at the spread of dates, and the Bristol show being the Americana show, the Bristol show could be the last date of a mini tour, rather than the start of a more extensive UK one.
And the ticket is far cheaper than the cost of the solo tour one!

I clicked on the link through Elvis' website. The Belfast show's not shown there yet. I did know about Belfast as I've posted in the thread.
I stick by my point though.

Good point. I suppose this to & froing across the Irish sea is a manageable enough thing to do these days. Finishing up in Bristol would have seemed the most logical thing, considering that most of Elvis's stage set will be , I presume , returning to the U.S. , via London. Now it's heading back up to Northern Ireland. Where it may go next is open to conjecture.

Who's going?
I know that Verbal will be there, and Sulky Lad. Anyone else?
The set that he has been playing with the Imposters is heavy on songs from the 1970s and 1980s, rather than later period "Americana" like KOA, NR, SP&S or TDM. Will we get a very different set list to recent Imposters shows?

I'm going.
Flying back in from the Algarve to Birmingham at lunchtime and driving straight down to Bristol
Hopefully catch them at the soundcheck to get some stuff signed.
