Enjoy Mike...sad to say I am in no financial or mental condition to do a road trip currently. But, hopefully in five years time, we will still be able to chase Mr Costello around the USA once I am in better financial shape. Here's to the future...

I'm contemplating going to Italy in May to catch a handful of his Detour shows.

Part of why I'm considering it: Based on concert clips I've seen of him there--and the fact that he's doing SEVEN shows there this year, compared to three in Spain and only one each in Germany, France, Scandinavia and Switzerland--I get the impression that EC has a particularly enthusiastic following in Italy.

Is this true? Has it been for some time? Has EC ever spoken about it?
