I can only say - hahahahahahahahaha - Walcott - hahahahahahaha (though I've waited a long, long time for this) Nonetheless, my natural pessimism means we'll go and throw away a lead at Wigan tomorrow. Like Otis, I'm dreading the lower class neighbours suddenly becoming upwardly mobile - City and Spurs in the top five - when did I start dreaming ?Arsenal should just concede the three points to Chelsea and rest their players

BTW I think my comments were made before our first meeting earlier in the season, so slightly out of context, but what the hell.

One piece of advice to everyone : follow closely my transfers.
The rule is simple - buy the player I'm selling as it is very likely they will get you a lot of points in the next gameweeks.
Examples : I'm selling Bale, he scores ; I'm selling Rooney, he scores; I'm selling Gyan, he scores.

Charmed, I'm sure. Perhaps choosing Tevez as your captain wasn't the brightest move this week. That said, I was notpaying attention to the double gameweeks at all, only Saturday's fixtures. If I had, I might have copied SoLack and taken a punt on the mighty Berbie on the basis that he'd probably get a couple in one of the games, but not the other. SoLack did this and so gets 58 for one player and 134 for the week. In the top 10,000. He's the one you should be hating.
Highest score anywhere this week was a cool 182!
All this is frippery. What really counts is: 5 points clear of Arse and 10 of Chels for same no. of games, and better still 6 ahead of Shitty with a game in hand. And the best goal difference. Sweet. And we're still not playing that well. If Rooney hits form in the last third of the season and Berbie keeps them coming, we'll be totally unstoppable.

Re: Fantasy Soccerball 20010-11
Losing to Wolves would have seemed a bit tragic if it hadn't been eclipsed by only managing to get a measly point after being 4-0 u[p at half time. Is that a record for abjectness? Well I guess they could have lost altogether.
Wolves hurt, but then again we've cruised to the top through not playing so well, but not cocking up the same as others, and having the occasional blinder. I reckon it's a lesson that will stand us in good stead to slaughter CIty (heard that collocation before!). Can't wait to see the derby, at the house of a City fanatic, the fool!
And Torres debut as a (pass the sick bucket) blue also made me piss myself.
Shame about Tevez.

Those words have certainly come back to hurt you!so lacklustre wrote:I am strolling this, is anybody going to challenge?
I'm pleased that I've rallied although I've blown securing 3rd place with one of my final transfers which will cost me 4 points because my transferred player is not playing! Still, I was genuinely expecting a mid table finish which has probably been more down to other people's management than my own skill.
As I'm sure many of you have found, choosing the wrong player as captain (in my case going for the safe option rather than instinct) has cost me loads of points.
Terrific second half of the season for Old Hammers Pathetic though.
Well done Cory.

Congratulations to Cory !!
Not a good season for me, although strangely enough I won in another league. I guess it only shows what a bunch of football experts we have in our league.
See you all next season.

Re: Fantasy Soccerball 20010-11
I managed to hold on to 3rd place so I was pleased about that.
This league has, every season, been a very high scoring league and we need up something like 20,000th out of over 200,000 which is a fine effort in my book.
I'm looking forward to next season and leave you with this:
What have Imogen Thomas and Fernando Torres got in common?
They were both f***ing good footballers up until a few months ago.
I thank you

Steady on, you're 1,828,807th out of 2,593,238. Plenty of scope to slump a lot further!
