Hmm

11th March - bomb in Madrid
12th March - rumours of Chelsea wanting David Beckham.

Coincidence?

So, does anyone else think Victoria's behind it?

Ooh David, you gotta get outta Madrid, it's really dangerous there, look 200 people got killed. How many next time?

Yeah, you're right Victoria, best go somewhere safe like London...

(Impossible to type that without hearing Alastair Macgowan and Ronni Ancona in my head!)

Good draw! Bring it on. Then semis will be Arse v Port and Real v Meelan, and Arse v Real in the final. I really, really, really want to see that happen. It's sad for a Man U lover to have to say it, but I really want to see them face a proper challenge. And, yes, I will be backing them to win.

They've already done the draw for the semis and the winner of the Arse/chelsk tie will play the winner of the RealM/Monaco tie.

I predict a Milan/Madrid final.

The you will know what it has been like for me and all other Spurs fans (who have to read the 'Arsenal Standard' - surely the most biased sports section anywhere in the world :x :x :x ) every evening fot the past 16 years!!

The Shed Boys V The Arse.......oh there will be tears and tantrams in my household. My 2 sons are both Chelsea bonkers! They go with their dad who is also bonkers every home game. Next week my youngest (age 14) informs me if his Dad can get tickets for the midweek game he will be going 3 times........

Im laughing here - last week I put him on the train for the midweek evening game (we live in kent & he had to go to London). It was the first time he had gone on a train alone at night so I insisted I put him on and his dad met him at the other end despite him arguing he could do it on his own!. He told me not to fuss he wasnt going to war and he'd be home later, informed me not to kiss him goodbye, and refused to acknowledge my frantic waving from the platform! yeah I know, but hes my baby and always will be!

For Fergie this season's a worry
Without Beckham they scrap and they scurry
And no trophies this year
brings out many a tear
in the strongholds of China and Surrey

I do believe some exist, yes.

At least MU can still beat the Spurs.

I almost felt sorry for the Man City fan today. How painful must that have been? The obvious Smith dive getting a penalty + sending off was almost as bad a judgement as the supposed Scholes offside against Porto.

Two weekends of Arse. Can't wait.

Bollocks to this...Wolves haven't got a chance at all now! Bloody Liverpool.....glad I didn't go now. Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr. Chelsea away next week as well, 3 easy points for Sam's lads.

I still hope Leeds go down, and hopefully Leicester too...if I'm gonna go do-o-o-wn, you're gonna come with me!

Much as I dislike Chelsea i've gotton kinda used to cheering them on cos of the boys (not when they are playing Spurs of course!!!! :o ) Mainly because they get so upset when they lose! I'd like to see them whop The Arse...i'd like to see anyone whop the Arse.....

JACKSON: Speaking of your daughters not leaving home til they are 28 mine is back living with us 5 years after moving out! She has parted from her partner and they are in the proceeds of selling the house. Why is it when they grow up you kinda think they will be ok???

I kinda want Arse to do the biz cos I so wanna see 'em face Madrid, plus of course I want them to play as many games as possible (not in the FA Cup, mind), cos you never know...

But it would be fun to see Chels do it and wipe the smile off the 'we have it too easy unlike struggling teams like MU' Arselovers.

The deciding factor is a good mate at work is a Chels fan, whereas a tedious and loathsome director person (female, to boot) is an Arse fan. Come on you blues!

Arrrgghhh!!!!

Thought we had them on the ropes for a while in the second half (best we've played in a long time), then Pires pops up and levels the score. That away goal is huge. Lucky lucky Arsenal.

By the way, Liverpool, Manchester United and Chelsea will all be in the States this summer. I'm hoping to catch Man U v AC Milan in New Jersey and Chelsea v AC Milan in Philly. By then, Ranieri will be long gone. Good man (and manager), unfairly treated by Roman and the odious Peter Kenyon.

what were the Chelsea defenders doing?

Four of them vrs Pires, who is hardly renowned for his heading ability!!!

Ranieri must have been studying the 'Spurs School of Defending' Video

Good header, though. What a tedious night, it looked like Monaco might give Real a run for their money in Madrid, but then it all went the obviouc route, and Arsenal got the away goal. Grrrr. Let's hope Man U hammer Milan due to their highly dodgy Berlusconi connections.

JD, Read Sam's post, and all will be revealed.

How long has Houllier got? 'pool were pretty poor after going behing and never looked like scoring. The first half sending off/penalty may have been harsh but it seemed to sap the will out of Liverpool.
