Elvis is around 6 months older than me, and I still like birthdays. I didn't post because I was late, my boyfriend's birthday is 2 days later and we were in Devon. So to make up for being so rude here are a couple of graphics: http://www.animationlibrary.com/Animation11/Holidays/Birthday/Circle_sign...

I've been putting money on Chelsea for the last two weeks or so, and so far I have won over £50. The odds have been quite low, but since they have spent so much on players of late I think it would be highly embarrassing for them to lose to certain teams, both here in the UK and in the European arena...

I still disagree about all laws being about morality. Keeping order is a way of making things go smoothly. There is not an inherit right or wrong about one way roads. They are there to channel traffic. I think stemming chaos can be a way to make life efficient. One can preceive anything as good or b...

Some laws are made just to keep order, like traffic laws. There is no real moral intent, unless keeping order is a moral intent.

Hey Spooky, I just read your thread. Very glad you're all right. I was in a bad accident just before New Year's. I was soooooo sore the next 2 days. I wasn't completely OK for a couple of months. As for elderly drivers, I really don't know what to say. My mother has just turned 86 and she is still d...

I still haven't read all of this thread, just the bits after my first post on it, but I would like to say that love is a very weird thing, and sometimes it just can't be helped. It's not really something for anyone to judge. I do agree with Noise, if Pete had been guilty I would have been very sad a...

I too hope that Nar hasn't died, but we all have to face it, any of us could just disappear and no one would know what happened to them. Should put a proviso in my will; please check my computer for forums and tell them so long, had to go.

Re: Lying liars

I'm having a hard time understanding why Dr. Kelly would kill himself over this. I guess there's no explaining any suicide. That is what I keep thinking. I do not think suicide can be someone else's fault, but in the case of physical torture it would be, so I guess mental torture can be just as bad...

Games

Any of you guys play games on the internet? I have just started playing scrabble on games.com. I find it very addictive (but I find most things addictive). I also like literati on yahoo.

American washing machines are really something. My mother has this gigantic top loader. Over here it would be industrial. Mine broke but I had someone fix it for £65. Geez, I'm starting to bore myself.

I have just read the last three or so posts of this thread, went straight to page 5. Looks like I've missed something interesting, but I dare not go back and read the rest, I get pulled in so easily. Why can't the kids on the Phantom Power board have tifts like this?

Sorry to be so infrequent in my postings of late. I've moved to Wales and I'm very happy about my new home. I'll try and keep up.

Looking around that site I never realised how many classic pics Bob Gruen has taken. I was impressed by the Bob Marley photos. Just really glimpsed the site, but I will return to discover more. And by the way, hi. 8)

After 21 years here I'm still not in love with Indian food. I still really like Tex-Mex, but the stuff some restaurants call Mexican is sometimes surprising to say the least. My partner and I make it a point to try Mexican in all sorts of locales. The strangest was in the Canary Islands. A German ow...
