Diana Krall , European tour dates , Sep-Dec.`04

Post by johnfoyle »

Details of Ms Krall`s extensive tour of Europe for later this year have appeared .......and there`s no Irish date. Crikey - Elvis must really hate here . I can understand not wanting to return to old memories and all that but this is ridiculous.

Of course , as I`ve commented before , when ever the Missus isn`t around to wash his socks or whatever Elvis goes somewhere else entirely . Maybe Asia/Australia ?

You'd have to pay me to go to one of those shows :D
This morning you've got time for a hot, home-cooked breakfast! Delicious and piping hot in only 3 microwave minutes.

you'll have to be a little more specific on the date--my schedule is very crowded. those're close to my bday, and goody2's also.

Mood - you wished me Happy Birthday on my 40th last year. I thought the date was now etched on your heart. :(

Oh yes - I don't mind going to Paris - not sure I want to see Diana Krall whilst I'm there though!

If it's any consolation, Diana has never, to my knowledge, performed in Ireland. So I don't think she's intentionally avoiding it.

A quick google check shows Diana played Belfast in 2001,
http://www.help-for-you.com/news/Oct200 ... ticle.html

and she played Vicar St, Dublin in 1999

Whatever, I'm sure there isn't a personal element to her not fitting in Dublin this time round, she and her husband will always get a good reception here.

I must say.. I'm not sure I"ve ever heard of a tour including Warsaw, Poland and not Dublin!

As I expected, Diana's playing Dublin Dec 11, though according to http://www.dianakrall.com/appearances.aspx she's playing the 12th.
Now, may I suggest a certain supporting act....

Just got this from Ticketmaster Ireland -

Diana Krall – show cancelled

Olympia Theatre, Dublin – 11 December 2004

Diana Krall has been forced to cancel her performance
at the Olympia Theatre, Dublin on 11 December.
Unfortunately Diana will be performing at the Noble
Peace Prize Concert on the same date and due to other
work commitments she will not be re-scheduling her
Dublin date.

Hm, tres curious
I believe she was asked to do this last year but had declined as the show was scheduled on her wedding day....
