Where is this Davey cat from? What's his resume'?

I've noticed his great singing talented, and his interesting clothing style.

Is he talented enough to actually replace Bruce Thomas?

lol.. it was Bruce Thomas' attitude that got him booted from the band, not his talent.

Davey Faragher played bass in the group Cracker.

When it comes down to it, I think Davey does a fine job as bass player, and as you said, he offers the much-needed backing vocal to many of Elvis' songs.
This morning you've got time for a hot, home-cooked breakfast! Delicious and piping hot in only 3 microwave minutes.

...but Davey does have an interesting clothing style.

Doesn't his bass strap show a cannabis leaf as well. Surely EC doesn't condone this!

After Cracker, Davey also played with John Hiatt for a long time and as a session player for several artists.

Davey also co-produced Hiatt's Little Head album.

Bruce was a flashier bass playey but Davey has a better command of timing. Bruce tended to play on his own during a song, almost isolated from the rest of the band at times. Davey is stronger at being part of the band unit, IMHO.

I think he recorded Oh We Do Like To Be Beside The Seaside for inclusion as a hidden track on the new album, South.
