Re: Elvis UK Tour 2013
Pre-sales are typically a selection drawn from throughout the venue, from the front to the back. Some areas have regulations stipulating that seats from throughout the venue be held back for the general public on sale, which is why you can usually snag great seats both in pre sale and on sale if you're in swiftly.

Re: Elvis UK Tour 2013
Thank you for that, MOOT. I've entered!
In the meantime, I've just booked my 6th EC show of the tour. Southend now added, have a front row box seat. Thought about the standing tickets, but I didn't fancy it, I'm getting on a bit. Plus I have a cruciate ligament injury in my knee which can flare up during standing gigs.
I think that'll be it for me this year, unless EC is playing Glastonbury, in which case...!
This tour will make Elvis my most watched artist of all time. Which is nice.

These are all things I bring along to every gig I go to as standard anyway. Basic essentials, surely.johnfoyle wrote: Luxury menu of canapés and hot & cold bowl food

Absolutely. Although you'd expect for that price that they could stretch to a full bottle of waterthe_roofdog wrote:These are all things I bring along to every gig I go to as standard anyway. Basic essentials, surely.johnfoyle wrote: Luxury menu of canapés and hot & cold bowl food

Well, I say absolutely. My Royal Albert Hall pre gig meal is usually a few pints of beer and a couple of crisps to line my stomach.
And Sulky - I've already booked my Grand Tier box but if any of the top 25 people drop out, you're in with a shout

I called at the venue in Birmingham on the day tickets went on general sale, but they did not have this concert in their schedule. It may be resurrected, but seems to be a gig too far for Symphony Hall. Pity, as it is a great venue. What happened to Birmingham Symph Hall June 9? Not on sale still!

Thanks for investigating. Suspected this might have happened. Dang, does this mean I won't get to see him this time? Will have to look into it.

Yes indeed, but so funny! Truth be told though, I'm feeling exactly the same. Wish we could fast forward to next June...verbal gymnastics wrote:This is the equivalent of the kids saying "Are we nearly there yet?"HopeYou'reHappyNow wrote:Is it June yet?

Re: Elvis UK Tour 2013
A ticket for the show at St David's Hall, Cardiff arrived by courier today. Anyone else going?
I saw Elvis' solo show there in 2010. Sulky Lad was also at that show.
This will be only the Imposters' third visit to Wales, and the first time the Wheel has made it to Wales. What "local" songs (if any) might we expect to see on the Wheel?
Both Shirley Bassey and Tom Jones have performed Burt Bacharach songs - Jones sang "What's New Pussycat?" and Bassey has performed a number including "I'll Never Fall In Love Again", but isn't really known for it. At his only other Cardiff show with the Imposters in 2005, Elvis did include a bit of "Green, Green Grass Of Home" in a medley with "Alison" and "Suspicious Minds", so perhaps that is the front runner, as a separate banner, or perhaps as part of "I can sing a rainbow".
Will he perform "Oliver's Army" with a reference to the Mersey, the Thames and the Taff"?
Only time will tell.

What's this about Milton Keynes on the 9th June? Is Birmingham re-arranged? Website now lists it as MK that night.

Whether or not there would be a second Birmingham date has been debated for a little while. Guess this answers the question.buzz wrote:What's this about Milton Keynes on the 9th June? Is Birmingham re-arranged? Website now lists it as MK that night.

Re: Elvis UK Tour 2013
My tickets (2nd night RAH + Liverpool ) apparently haven't been printed yet ! I booked through The Ticket Factory pre sale ! (through the wiki links). Not impressed with these agents sitting on your cash for over 6 months now. In future I shall always seek to book directly with the venue.oliversa1 wrote:Liverpool and Blackpool booked, just need to get some money together for Manchester.
