25 year back catalogue? Is that just recorded years or is Buxton still stuck in 2002?

I've said it before (on the board that crashed) but £30 and £35 for tickets

30-35 GBP is a in the range of shows in the States but on the high side of the range here. I recall that one of the House of Blues shows was a bit higher at 60USD. The Ryman show in Nashville in 27.50-49.50USD which is definitely cheaper than that particular show.

Tickets for live performances of nearly any sort have really gotten expensive.

It was a fabulous show. Shorter than others from this tour reported here. 1hr 55 mins, but a great atmosphere. After the sitting on the stage Alison / Suspicious Minds and then the aforementioned 'Almost Blue' from his seat on the front row the audience mood lifted higher and the cheers were much louder. Everyone was out of their seats for the last three songs and Elvis seemed in a great mood throughout.
A beautiful version of 'God Give Me Strength' and a number of other songs not on recent setlists. I remember hearing 'Brilliant Mistake' and I'm fairly certain there was something else of note but it has slipped my mind.
The venue is gorgeous and sound was pretty good throughout.

Then, this morning, having a rummage in Buxton's lovely little independent record store, 'Tune In', I picked up a copy of 'The Clarksdale Sessions' 10" and the double vinyl interview promo from 'Imperial Bedroom'. All in all, a delightful visit.

Elvis seemed in a bad mood last night in Manchester, due I think to an almost comatose audience! The set was cut short (2 hours) and it took ages for the people to get on their feet. When he sang "I would rather me anywhere else but here" he seemed to snarl the line out as he gazed round the hall. Mind you, the Bridgewater Hall is more like a conference centre than a rock n roll venue.

Buxton Opera House's annual Business Report shows another record-breaking year - with an incredible total audience of 170,317 - an increase of 10,090, or six per cent - on the previous year.

The third Buxton Opera House Festival of Live Music, Four-Four Time 2005, in February, featured ten days of sensational live acts including Elvis Costello and Courtney Pine, selling 6,361 tickets and and securing the theatre's position as the area's leading venue for live music.
