It's muggy and buggy around here...
This spider comes around every year. He's as dependable as the bumblebee that lives down at the corner.
We get a lot more of these dragonflies since about twenty years ago, when they irrigated the delta lands to grow rice. We also got countless more mosquitos!
...and this is the famous walking stick. These are truly odd creatures, and evidence of intelligent design. For some reason, we have more than our share of these twig beings.
I'm going after a praying mantis...
THE BUGS ARE TAKING OVER!!!

Writing spider
Thanks, Mood, I didn't know it had a name.
So, if it writes your name, doom and gloom can be expected?

I'll see what I can come up with on the DL.
...somebody named "mmmm" is in big trouble!

If your idea of a Daddy Longlegs is the same as ours here in Oz, I assume you are talking about the spider with a tiny tiny body and very long spindly legs?mood swung wrote:yep. while you're taking pictures, get one of a daddy longlegs so crow can see what they look like in american.
I remember being told once that they are actually one of the most venomous spiders going around, but as they have no way of effectively passing the venom they are harmless. Don't know how true that is though.

Whoa you have some pretty colourful bugs over there! - any poisonous ones? We have adder snakes which are over here, but apart from that I dont think we have any dangerous wildlife at all! Although having said that I did read that colonies of scorpions are setting up home in certain parts of the country in large numbers. Seems they have come in on imported fruits. And of course we have badgers which are pretty fierce.
COME ON YOU SPURS!!
