It all comes from listening to Elvis. You should know that.
And especially from listening to KOA.
Good luck.

Thanks for the kind words, ladies!
The presentation was daunting but it went well. I guess I get to keep my job a little longer. I think that's a good thing.

The vinyl shop in my town is closing. I'm completely shaken and upset. Turn out I was pretty much the only business...
.
Why don't you write about it in your blag ?

how 'bout the fact that Jess has managed to end up at the hospital AGAIN - the 2nd time in a month since she left for college!
Two kidney stones. They sent her back to the dorm with a couple of pain prescriptions and, um, a strainer. Poor thing. I'm beginning to think she's gonna make money off all these pain meds and sell them to her friends.

Spooky,
My thoughts go out to Jess. I've had four bouts with kidney stones over the past 20 years, the most recent (and most prolonged) was this past August. I know and feel her pain!
Hope she passes it (them) quickly!!!

I just can't believe the bad luck of this poor girl - she went off to college with everything in her favor, but Murphy has followed her all around.
At least the drugs seem to have cheered her up. For now. And nearby students have brought her food offerings, which are always appreciated.

Best wishes to your girl, spooky. My younger brother went through college with one health problem after another - melanoma, painful ulcers, you name it. Finally he made it through with honors. Hopefully Jess will be able to get past all this in he same way.

It's a bit unsettling still, because apparently the campus has had a huge outbreak of mono. Nobody needs that.
But thanks for the well wishes, guys. I'll be sure to pass them on. When she's a bit more coherent. But like a good teenager, she's still been phone texting us updates on her condition.

What's mono?
Hope Jess's pain passes soon.

It's all right - you missed it last year too
I drank two different no alcohol beers last night. I had a Cobra which was really nice tasting and a Becks which was slightly bitter.

Yeah, I was wondering the same thing. You have a drunken alcoholic reputation to uphold - one that spans at least 3 continents. Think man, think.
And pardon me for not remembering your birthday. I do have a life, you know.

I sat at my computer all day waiting for a happy birthday thread
Back to the thread...
I drank two bottles of non alcoholic beer last night; Cobra and Becks.
Cobra was really nice but Becks was bitter. It didn't taste much different to normal Becks (although I'm not a fan anyway).
