Let's not forget our newest member - goldzoneinvesting12. I hear Elvis is bullish on gold. He feels it's a solid hedge against inflation.

Hmm. It's working for me just fine; Windows Media Player fired it right up. I wonder if it matters what version of WMP is being used? I'll try and record the pertinent parts of the show(s) to my computer and post on DIME in the next few days - if I do that, I'll try and get an mp3 or two up here as ...

Why does it seem that some element of this is officially released somewhere? I know I've read of the 20/20 footage, Geraldo, etc at some point.

I remember EC mentioning Madonna singing out a key at the Grammy's. He likes to poke fun at her it seems. I believe she comes up in one of his songs around PTC or GBCW. I'm probably way off with the intent of the lyric here, but "Sleep of the Just"?........"or is it immaterial girl.&...

Re: February 28th = day of awesomeness

Anyone else really amped about "My Flame Burns Blue"? It should be really really good, and I found this little sample that just made my feelings that much more certain: http://www.fanscape.com/Music/Adult/Elvis-Costello/3201230.aspx?mid=2749 Anyone else doing the midnight sale thing? Betw...

Elvis was recently "born again" after being touched by Jeebus, only to have this powerful, enligtening experience reinforced by sharing the stage with The Edge.

A Little Something I Didn't Know About Davey...

During a fleeting moment of boredom I googled Davey Faragher. And during this search I discovered that he was part of a band in the mid-70's called the "Faragher Brothers." I apologize if this is a well-known fact, but I hadn't seen it discussed during a quick search through this board's a...

Elvis is name-dropped in a Boston Globe baseball column, found here. http://www.boston.com/sports/baseball/articles/2006/02/12/time_to_play_a_little_catch_up/?page=1 1. Who's the funky guy in the oversized, black Elvis Costello glasses? That would be Joe Maddon, new manager of the Tampa Bay Devil Ra...

The new Elvis Costello album is coming soon!!! I heard some of the songs and they sound great. He basically just takes his classic songs and re-works them with a full jazz orchestra. You can hear the new album here: http://www2.fanscape.com/elviscostello/redirects/2728.aspx Ummm. Uhhhhhh. Ummmm.....

I'm with EH on this one, although EH did not state specifically a distaste for U2 - so I will. I do not like U2. I do not like The Edge. I do not like Bono. I will not watch them with a goat. I will not watch them with Jeebus. I will not watch them anywhere.

Bastards.

Yes North was #1 on the Billboard Traditional Jazz Chart . That must be true! Its says so in my EC bio: http://www.elviscostello.info/biography.php If any EC classical release was to have charted it would have to be "The Juliet Letters" which actually made the regular UK Top 20! I can onl...

First song featured AT on piano and vocals by AT, Dr. John, and a bit of Elvis at the end. I'm not sure what the song was, but I'm sure someone can fill that in...."We can do it yes we can...."....No idea. The second song was "In the Midnight Hour" to mark the recent passing of W...

There was not a lot learned from this segment of the news that I could pick up. If anything, I got a better insight into Allen's music and career. Also, there was a clip of what was likely the recording process for "River in Reverse" that showed Elvis and Davey singing. Good to see Davey's...

I posted this in the other Grammy's thread as well. Probably should have put it here in the first place....
