Re: RAMBLE ON ROSE/This will be our year

Thanks for the post - I think "This Will Be Our Year" is a beautiful and underrated song.

Re: Getting stuff signed after show

I asked about this over at the Steve Hoffman forums the other night before heading to the Clearwater show (sorry, everyone, I actually forgot I had registered here way back). As I wrote there: He was in a hurry - the bus left immediately after - but he was gracious and even asked if he got to everyo...

Re: 'The Return Of The Spectacular Spinning Songbook', Nov.

I just picked up the CD/DVD set myself and - I didn't see mention of this - the "diary" content of the super deluxe box is not included in the booklet. I had a suspicion that would be the case, but now I can say for sure. I have to laugh that the booklet that IS included is almost exactly ...

Re: Elvis and the Imposters play Clearwater, FL, April 24, 2

I don't think that's quite how it happened. Elvis was beginning to sing off-Mic as he usually does on these quieter songs when the loudmouth began to yell something about "All You Need Is Love." EC just kept going, pausing a bit as the audience told the dude to shut up, who then replied &...

Brutal Youth

I haven't let Mighty Like A Rose seep in as much, but I really like Brutal Youth. Some of the vocals are quite up front, but overall, I like the sound of the album and have no quibble.

iTune Elvis

Then I started loading up Elvis CDs into iTunes, with the idea of creating a playlist based on recording date Wardo, I've been doing the same thing! I think I've got some obsessive compulsive need to chronologize things. My playlist left out the various live tracks, and I've worked up through Spike...

Audio Reverse Engineering

In general, what Pro Logic does is to split anything out-of-phase from a stereo signal to the rear channels. Similarly, if you put the center channel on, it will carry anything that's equally balanced between both stereo channels. I recall hearing Crimes Of Paris on a portable CD player that was jer...

Desktop wallpaper for all

Hi everyone, Just wanted to share this desktop wallpaper I threw together. I saw an Elvis concert poster here: http://www.gigposters.com/posters.php?poster=40443 and fell in love with the concept. I had to recreate it to make it big enough for a desktop, so I made some other changes, too. Here's a p...
