Lawro has Birmingham winning and staying up and Fulham and Reading drawing, with Fulham staying up. And MU for 3-0 away. Bring it on!

He's saying Birmingham will stay up with both Fulham and Reading going down with draws.
I can't agree that neither Fulham or Reading will win; one will get a victory against Portsmouth and Derby, who are about the two most hopeless teams at the moment, though for different reasons. Brum seem the most likely to go down to me.

By the way, congratulations in advance, Otis, on winning the Fantasy football (not too controversial a prediction, that one, I think!!!)

Oh yeah, Fulham down too! Hmm. We shall see. I can easily see Roque getting a couple at St Andrews.

Thanks for congrats. Shame there wasn't a kitty! Sadly I won't be top in the work one, which nets £100 or so. The maestro who is is about 525 out of the 1.6+m at present. Not bad! I hope to end in the top 5,000.

Hell yes! A fantastic finish by Angel and we sink the Galaxy 2-1 in LA! Nice to see us getting stuck into Becks.

Ah well, it was not to be. Congratulations Otis.

I like our chances in Moscow but whatever happens I can live with it. It was a very tumultuous season and we pushed you right up until the last day.

Off to enjoy the fine weather.

Oh, and very happy for Fulham and BWAP too! That was a great escape.

I'm well chuffed - with no help from Derby or Blackburn. I wasn't expecting all three to win - and I wouldn't have expected Danny Murphy......

Congratulations to Otis on winning the Clubland Cup.

Yes. Yes - Bennett really bottled it in a big way: It could have been so different. Yes!!! - perhaps we can beat the Kiwis.

Thanks for your congrats, I like to think I was a crucial part of the Mighty Reds' strategy this season.

They were clear Scholes should have been sent off on Five Live, and though I would give them the benefit of the doubt, I was also surprised to see on MOTD that whoever it was went down very easily. There was very little contact. From a distance it looked like a shoulder charge, closer up, and bennett was very close, it looked like Scholes brushed his shoulder and he crumbled. Who cares, we won by two clear points! And also we had a very definite penalty not awarded, more def than the one that was. Wigan worked hard, as did Bolton.

One down, one to go!

BWAP: told ya so! Oh ye of little faith. Feel for Steve 'childhod hero' Coppell. And the Brummies.

Anyone see Downing's second goal. Totally awesome outside of foot volley from distance. A beaut. What a result!

Missing the Prem already. The absolute joy of today was Giggs getting the clincher. That was so fitting - the Prem's player with the best rack record of all equalling Charlton's club appearances and securing the 10th Prem victory. You can't knock that in Fergie - say what you like, but he has shown time and again the ability to take a team of tremendously talented players and make them keep on and on chasing the results. A great era for a great club. Very happy.

I thought I'd revisit my predictions from last August. Ok, so the Bent and Torres predictions were pretty off the mark  ..along with my failure to pick one of the Championship promotion teams, but generally i think I did quite well.

Jackson Monk wrote:Thank God the new footie season is almost here. Time for a few predictions:

Prem Champs: Man Utd

Champs League quals (in order): Chelsea, Arse, Liverpool

UEFA Cup quals (assuming 3): Spurs, Newcastle, Villa

Relegation: Derby, Fulham, Wigan

FA Cup: Man Utd

League Cup: Spurs
Champs League Winners: Chelsea

UEFA Cup Winners: Bayern Munich

Top Scorer: Darren Bent

Player of the year: Christiano Ronaldo

Young Player of the Year: Nani

Flop buy of the Season: Fernando Torres

Best buy of the Season: Nani (followed closely by Bent)

First Prem Manager to get sack: Billy Davies (Followed closely by Rafael Benitez if it goes pear shaped - which I think it might!)

First Scorer of the season: Jon Carew

Championship Champs: Wolves
Runners up: Sheffield Utd

Play off winners: Charlton

Crisis of the Season: Liverpool's continued failure to close the gap.

Suprise of the Season: Arse's challenge to be better than expected. The kids are good and getting better.

FA Cup final not being broadcast on US tv. I think I could have done a pay per view for $25 - but I didn't look into it.

Boring result. Was at a work-related event so missed, and fell asleep in the highlights, but it all looked pretty boring. Shame Cardiff didn't win, though (as an ex-resident and all).

Bring on Wednesday when we will piss all over that twat Grant (who has to explain himself to the FA for his absurd comments about refs) and his bunch of soulless mercenaries.

Avram's Army are on their way
Avram's Army don't know how to play
And they will rather be any place than
Moscow on Wednesday

I'm not too worried. Twinkletoes never shows up for the big games and the drunken Scot can't intimidate Euro refs like he does with English refs.

You do realize that by the time Avram has to answer any charges he'll no longer be our manager, don't you?

If by some freakish chance you're well ahead with a few minutes to go I hope Avi sends on a player to kick Ronaldo squarely in the nuts when he does that twattish spread legs thing before a free kick. Would be well worth a red card and lengthy match ban.

Much as it pains me I shall be sitting in t'pub come Wednesday night hoping for an outstanding game. It would be good if neither of them win but apparently that's unlikely.
