Yeah, I'm with Sam. Carragher does my skull in and I have to turn off when his stringy cartoon voice kicks in :x He's a park player and isn't in the same class as the other English centre-halfs.

According to my mate, Pires is apparently a very pleasant Gooner (which is surely a contradiction in terms  ), but he does dive a lot and warrants just the occasional slap.

I'd pick Reyes for a decking ahead of Pires, cos unlike Pires, Reyes is a whinging little prick who can dish it out, but can't take it. Reyes is like the kid at school who will happily give a sly dig to the kid next to him and then call the teacher if he gets one back. The way he rolled back onto the pitch in Madrid sums him up. Total cunt.

Forgot DROGBA!!!! He's a bit big to lump though. Have to shoot him from a distance.

Rafa is a great bloke. He and Carragher are football heroes, as we saw last May. I don't think accents are a reason for a decking. Diving is tedious, but we can forgive football geniuses the odd one, as we must the occasional foul. Strikers handling the ball in the penalty area is less forgiveable. Agree that Reyes needs 6 months in boot camp.

Pires is definitely a great player....but I'd stop short of footballing genius :?

Henry is a genius.....so is Rooney and so were

Cantona...Best....Maradona.....Gasgoigne...Platini...Cruyff and Brady.

Pires isn't in that league and therefore does deserve a swift cuff around the head occasionally.

Boody hell ! - Jenas is not playing tomorrow because of a shin injury, and doubts are Mido, Anthony Gardner, Teemu Tainio and Edgar Davids while Ledley King is out for the rest of the domestic season after suffering a stress fracture in his left foot at Everton last weekend. :(

Oh good, Henry as captain in FF looks like a sound bet. Assuming he plays.

Agree Lawro's 'predictions' are uttter bollocks. I love the way they post the result and it's usually 'he got THREE right results and ONE right score' as if that was good. I've been meaning to test myself against him and see how many more I get of both category.

Actually, the word 'genius' was a ref to RVN rather than Pires, I was just responding to the issue of dismissing divers. Agreed that Pires ain't a genius, just a very good player. Bergkamp is arguably one, at his best at least, such as the lovely moment in his special game recently. A player who is always intelligent in his play is a sight to behold. You can't use the word genius right now without refs to Ronaldinho, who stands to go down as one of the contenders at the top of the list, if he continues as he's been for Barca of late.

No arguments from me there....except the bit about old horseface!

Doing well in the league is all about the depth and strength of the squad. If Arse win tomorrow, its fair enough. We should be able to manage an injury or three. Mind you, in my experience, the press always exagerate the extent of the injuries.

i think that losing King is a major blow...and not just for this match. Jenas has been playing well, so that's a worry too. As for the others, I'm not too concerned, as we can survive without them. Murphy for Davids. Davenport for Gardner. Defoe for Mido. King will be missed though big time....he calms the defence so much and the youngsters will have to do their best without him.

Jesus, can we have a new thread called 'boring Spurs details' or the like? It's only fun when slag each off - two people supporting the same team is anathema to the thread. Spurs are tossers!

:D

Shame we no longer have a resident Liverpool supporter. Things could get really tasty if one of the bindippers were a regular poster on this thread.

OK, then. With tomorrow's FA Cup semifinal coming up...

In your Liverpool slums,
You look in the dustbin for something to eat,
You find a dead rat and you think it's a treat,
In your Liverpool slums
In your Liverpool slums,
You shit on the carpet, you piss in the bath,
You finger your grandma, and think its a laugh,
In your Liverpool slums.

In your Liverpool slums,
You speak in an accent exceedingly rare,
You wear a pink tracksuit and have curly hair,
In your Liverpool slums.

In your Liverpool slums,
Your mum's on the game and your dad's in the nick,
You can't get a job 'cos you're too fucking thick,
In your Liverpool slums.

Complete and utter.
Why are the Spurs fans taking over?
Where is solack when we badly need an over the top gooners-based recrimination?
Why was the Villareal game such a let-down?
Preserving energy for the real game ahead?
May the best man win - as long as he's in Burgundy and his first name is Thierry.
Should be good.
Can't you see I'm trying to change this water to wine

I still read this thread, but it is mostly too tiresome to respond to, same old, same old........

Anyway the Gooners are going to thrash the bollocks off the scummy lillyshite wankspurs today. The scum supporters are very twitterpated at the moment, they have nosebleeds, they are all excited about the possibility of 4th place, they can't stop fucking chattering about it, and they're going to fucking blow it. I hope they return to the mid-table shite where they belong next season if only to shut the fucker's up.

Spurs had the better chances in the first half, but probably should have taken better advantage. No Henry - again. What is the reason? I missed the first five minutes or so.

Good result for Tottenham I suppose. They were well within their rights to continue playing after the 2 Arse players collided. Shame TH14 had to get an equalizer. Anyone see Wenger refusing to shake Jol's hand at full time? Wonder if the hacks will give him the Mourinho treatment for unsportsmanlike behavior. More likely they'll blame Mourinho for starting the trend.

I wouldn't fuck with Jol if I were Arsene. He's built like a trucker.
