Cliché poll: Ten Albums You'd Bring With You To The Moon

This is for all non-EC or peripheral-EC topics. We all know how much we love talking about 'The Man' but sometimes we have other interests.

OK then. With almost no thought...

Bjork - Homogenic
Bowie - Lowie
Joy Div - Closer
Van - Hymns To The Silence (it's gonna be silent up there)
Joni - Hejira
Beethoven - last 4 string quartets (Radio 3 are playing ALL of Beethoven's work this week for the bicentary, takes 6 days)
Elv - KOA
Gillian Welch - Time (The Revelator)
Ronboy - Cob Run
Rufus Wainwrght - Want Two

That'll do nicely. Then again, I could just take 5 DBs and 5 ECs and be simple and symmetrical.

I considered Hejira too, but settled on Blue instead.

Didn't know you were going to go classical on me. I'd consider taking Mahler's 5th Symphony if that's the case.

Oops, misread you. Well it's great to find a teenage Bowiehead here. And presumably you're partial to a bit of Elv too.

Ahhh, the Adagio on the moon. Indeed.

Absolutely. And this is my favorite recording, though Bernsteins' isn't bad either:

I have Von Karajan. Pretty gobsmacking. You missed a real chance to show off, though. It's Adagietto, not Adagio!
