Dublin concert for Sinatra in June
Nancy Sinatra, the daughter of Frank Sinatra, will play a concert in Dublin's Vicar Street on Friday 18 June.

Sinatra teamed up with producer Lee Hazlewood and arranger Billy Strange in the late 1960s and had a string of hits including 'These Boots Are Made for Walkin', 'Sugar Town' and duets with Hazlewood, 'Some Velvet Morning' and 'Summer Wine'

She also made Number One with father/daughter duet 'Somethin' Stupid'.

The core of Sinatra's original band (some of whom still perform with her) was the world famous Wrecking Crew, LA's finest rhythm section, who also worked with the Beach Boys, The Righteous Brothers and Phil Spector.

She has been working on a series of recording collaborations with artists including Morrissey, Elvis Costello, Jon Spencer, Reno and Jarvis Cocker.
The first single, 'Let Me Kiss You', which was written by Morrissey, will be released by Sanctuary records next month.

Sinatra recently appeared on the soundtrack of 'Kill Bill: Vol I' after director Quentin Tarantino chose her cover of the song 'Bang Bang (My Baby Shot Me Down)' as the theme for the opening credits.

Tickets for her Vicar Street show are €46 and are available through Ticketmaster and usual outlets.

Damn , damn , damn!!!

That`s two potentially Costello related shows in Dublin that I`ll miss `cos I`ll be in London , Cait on June 16 and now Ms Sinatra on the 18th.

Hopefully Dr J will keep us all informed.

In the meanwhile - are any pics like this of Elvis `n Nancy out there... ....

The boots still fit. She is completing an album with the help of people like U2's Bono, Morrissey, Pulp's Jarvis Cocker. ''Elvis Costello is putting his vocal down next month,'' Sinatra says. She's at Montage Grille on Friday, with a band that includes Pete Thomas, who used to play drums for Costello.

Stars Help Sinatra Pledge 'Love'

Nancy Sinatra has drafted a cavalcade of stars to assist with her
upcoming album, "To Nancy, With Love." As previously reported, the set will
be released in late summer or early fall via Sanctuary's revived Attack
imprint, which is being supervised by Morrissey. The first single is
Sinatra's version of "Let Me Kiss You," which Morrissey recorded for his
new album, "You Are the Quarry."

U2's Bono and the Edge offer "Two Shots of Happy," originally written
for Sinatra's late father Frank. "It's a little difficult emotionally
because this is about Dad, but it's a bang-on description of him," Nancy
says in a statement.

Pulp frontman Jarvis Cocker penned two songs for "To Nancy," which were
recorded with such musicians as guitarist Richard Hawley, bassist Jim
O'Rourke and former Smithereens drummer Dennis Diken. Pete Yorn
contributes "Don't Mean Nothin'," while Jon Spencer plays guitar and sings on a
new version of Sinatra's "Ain't No Easy Way."

Also expected to make the final cut is a duet with Elvis Costello
titled "Comin' Home Baby" and tracks featuring E Street Band guitarist
Steven Van Zandt and desert rock act Calexico.

Sinatra's summer plans include a handful of live dates, highlighted by
a June 20 appearance the Morrissey-curated Meltdown Festival in London.
