Vinyl Clearout

Post by RobK »

Hi there
This is my first post here but I am a long time EC fan...dating back to 78. I live near Manchester
I am going to be moving to an apartment fairly soon and really need to slim down my Vinyl collection. I have made a good start and our local Oxfam shop now has a very good supply of punk, new wave and ABBA !
I now need to tackle my Elvis C collection. Before I do a proper list and post it here , I want to check if there is any interest, It will be mainly UK 7 inchers and some imports...going from 77 to about 87.
When I registered to join the forum I did ask if there was any specific charity that might go down well. I did not get an answer on that .I don't want the money but don't just want to give them to someone so they sell them...unless it is the local Oxfam.
Please let me know what you lot think

Elvis has played a couple of benefit shows in the USA recently

I live in Florida now but i am a county durham lad and left a lot of vinyl behind with what was a temporary to the USA which became 26 years.

Sounds like i may be interested in your collection ( no just elvis) being 64 ( actually tomorrow) , my mum still live in the north and i have stuff sent there all the time. Happy to give a fair price or make donations to these charities in the usa.

Elvis is also a hug Liverpool fan so charities for the club would be another one but may be tougher for a manchester lad

EC has also spoken about the good works undertaken by the charity behind the Royal Variety Performances - in relation to his Dad's later years as he suffered from dementia : https://www.royalvarietycharity.org/roy ... ty-charity.

Best wishes
