you wouldn't associate what he did with j geils. he was crooning the womack version (much slower and more soulful than j geils version) at the end of the tribute off mic until the crowd drowned him out. maybe 15 seconds.

i HATE when a silly audience does that! if he steps back from the mic, singing to us...why not wait to yip and yelp until he's done???? so, i have searched that the Geils song is indeed the one written by the same folks who wrote the Womack take! thanks lackey.
