UK Tour 2014

Post by verbal gymnastics »

So far we have 2 dates:

16th July - Kew
27th July - Bexhill

That leaves plenty of time for dates in between.

Let's hope it's solely a tour of Southern venues!

Elvis always seems to do UK dates in July , meaning he can around for his Mothers birthday. I bet he is only going to do a few shows this year, after the large quantity of shows in the last two years. This time last year a full schedule had been announced for Summer 2013 so why not a similar announcement this year?

Or at least it would have done if I got my dates right!

It should read

16th July - Kew
17th July - Bexhill

(Thanks azmuda).

I am still hoping for a solo tour on the scale/variety of the US shows last November. I'm sure there'll be a Liverpool show along the way and a "proper" London show.

I've got Bexhill and Kew. 8)
Will hopefully do both but may have to sacrifice one for work in order to do the other. :(

Burt Bacharach is playing the Royal Festival Hall in London on 23rd and 26th July so there's a possible appearance at one or both of these shows.

That's enough about Everton's season though

I remain optimistic that some further UK/English dates will follow. And particularly a Liverpool one.

Anyone any idea about what The Roots schedule is this year ? Any chance of them making the trip across the Atlantic with Elvis this year ? Summer does seem a bit quiet so far.. I was looking forward to the Rome festival which looked very tempting and October is a long way away..so I'm still considering my options...

I noticed on the MacManus Brothers facebook page (Ronan and Ruiari) they say they are supporting Elvis in the UK in July

Interesting. I don't imagine it will be a support slot at Kew so it'll be at dates to be announced...

You would have thought Kew would have been a bit too big for them, but according to their website they are supporting big brother there and there is a link to the show.

Maybe tickets are selling well elsewhere. I see Bexhill is sold out

So far we have:

Part 1

Swansea - 11th July
Manchester - 14th July
Kew - 16th July
Bexhill - 17th July

Part 2

Dublin - 16th October
Belfast - 17th October
Edinburgh - 18th October
London - 29th October.

Plenty of scope for additional dates in July and possibly into November.

Interesting that this year seems more devoted to solo dates.

I reckon 12th or 13th July will be a Liverpool date.

Hello. New to the forum.

I'm wondering if anyone reckons if any more UK dates will be announced for July, or even November? I was going to go to Kew, but I'd prefer a non-festival date at a seated venue. Will probably buy a ticket for Bluesfest regardless because I love seeing EC at RAH, but waiting out for decent seats to be dropped that aren't asking for £130!!!

Fingers crossed for some more London shows or maybe even Kent. His gig in Canterbury last year is local for me but I was unable to go! So gutted!

Welcome FrankieJ.

My thoughts about additional dates are in my post.

The Canterbury show was really good last year. If you haven't read it already you should check out the reviews from the site (and not just because of my chat with Elvis!).

So you think he may announce more? Hopefully soon. I don't want to wait out, there being no more dates added, go to buy a Kew ticket and them be sold out. The reserved areas (which I would have preferred to get) are already sold out. Come on, Elvis! More UK dates!

Keep calm and don't panic

As far as Kew is concerned, the Kew crowd will be more worried about the deluxe hampers selling out than they will about the unreserved "dance area" tickets selling out.

And no doubt there will be someone who sells tickets through this forum who finds that they can't make the gig.

It looks like the July tour will conclude at the rock'n'roll haven of Bexhill as he's playing in Belgium on 18th July.

At least there's scope for earlier dates ie pre-11th July.

At last I shall be attending the last night of a UK show so there should be a recording of all those rarities we've been waiting for like Dr Luther's Assistant ( hint, hint)

Starting to think there won't be any more UK show announcements for summer or autumn. Having said that, I don't know how EC's people arrange and announce his touring plans, so I could be wrong.

I just wish I could find a decent seat for his RAH gig in October. £50 for up in the gods is a bit too pricey. I'd rather be nearer the action in stalls. £130 for a decent arena floor seat is extremely excessive. We're paying more money to see less Elvis. Wish EC would perform a non-festival concert in London with a full set so we can secure some reasonably priced seats.

I'd love to be in the stalls and whilst I could pay the money, it's difficult to justify.

Keep checking the RAH website, this forum and the touts (getmein etc) nearer the time as I should think there'll be reasonably priced tickets going spare.

It may not be helpful to mention that I paid £7.35 a fortnight ago to see Elvis at the RAH. The trick on that occasion was to be at the box office, five minutes after the show started. Where there is a will, there is usually a way..
