Good to hear they're coming back with a new album in March.

Starting off a rocking week with Against Me!
One of my favorite bands Live in London, Although it doesn't have their classic "Baby I'm an Anarchist" it is still great.

Guest vocalists this time include Richard Hawley, Solomon Burke, Bob Geldof, Tom Jones, David McAlmont, Dr. John and Paul Carrack.
Great fun, as usual with Jools' albums.
Instant faves are two Kris Kristofferson's songs, "For The Good Times" and "The Pilgrim", both sung by Bob Geldof.

Just started listening to an interesting little album called "Costello Music" by the Fratellis. Enjoying it a lot so far... and no, it is not a Costello covers album.

Also listening to the Marie Antoinette soundtrack... great stuff (love the Bow Wow Wow remixes).

"The Town and the City" Los Lobos. Expect it to be nominated for a Grammy.

Is Those The Brokes as bad as most reviews indicated? Some great pop hooks, but all too long and boring. I loved most of the first LP, so was very disappointed. I think it has to be one of the worst LP titles I've ever heard. I'd love to know who came up with that and how. Brokes is non-language, how dare they do this to us?

Eric Bachmann - To The Races

Got this on vinyl and have been loving listening to it this week. A really wonderful late year surprise - will definitely make my top 10.

Was given a vinyl version of this as a X-mas gift from my brother and I really really love it. Bruce's best in a long while IMO - so much more organic-sounding than Devils & Dust or The Rising.

I've listened to it once and I wasn't captivated. Indeed none of the songs jump out to me. I'll need to give it a couple more listens at least.
