Tying the knot...

This is for all non-EC or peripheral-EC topics. We all know how much we love talking about 'The Man' but sometimes we have other interests.

Tying the knot...

Post by BlueChair »

Many of you were there, three years ago, when I excitedly announced that I had met an American girl studying in Bath, UK while I was studying in Nottingham, UK.

Even more of you were there when that very same girl registered on this forum with the name 'RedShoes' and participated (albeit at a much smaller scale) in EC forum discussions.

Well, now you're here when I happily announce that Red and I are now engaged. We celebrated our three year anniversary of dating yesterday in Niagara-on-the-Lake and I presented her with a surprise diamond engagement ring. No details yet obviously (we've been engaged for less than 24 hours), but both of us are very happy! :D :D :D
This morning you've got time for a hot, home-cooked breakfast! Delicious and piping hot in only 3 microwave minutes.

Thanks everyone :)

I'm still in a bit of shock/am overwhelmed by the whole thing. I'm amazed how many people expect us to have a date set *immediately*!

So, have you set a date?

Sorry.

Congratulations to you both. You know, your first child will have to be named something like Purple Heart.

Congrats!! I trust that the ceremony will be accompanied by the appropriate collection of Costello melodies.

Perhaps that can be the next "Tower of" or similar project for this forum... Tower of EC Melodies for a Blue and Red Wedding?

Just the one - it'll be "She" obviously!

Many congratulations to you both.

I hope there will be a London stag night
