It's been almost two weeks since I saw some of you, so I will be happy to meet again in November.

Re: London meet up - Saturday 5th November 2022
Nice one, coincidentally I'm in London that weekend.
Any chance we could start a bit earlier though, 12 for example?
I've got to be at a football match on the other side of London that kicks off at 3.

Re: London meet up - Saturday 5th November 2022
Given the rail strike we are hoping the negotiators come to a solution and cancel the strike scheduled on this date.
Don’t go booking rail and/or hotel tickets just yet!

Please ignore my request to meet earlier than 1.
I’m now not going to be able to make it along before the match.
Have a fun meet up everyone.

Re: London meet up - Saturday 5th November 2022 - CANCELLED
Hi all
Due to the train strike on Saturday 5th November we have rearranged this for Saturday 21st January.
No doubt we will show off our new Christmas jumpers and our jealousy towards those going to the Gramercy in February.

Just a post to nudge this thread towards the top of the page.
Train strikes permitting, I look forward to seeing everyone again in two weeks' time at the White Swan in Aldgate from lunchtime.

Re: London meet up - Saturday 21 January 2023
A great time was had by all. There were 10 of us although only 8 at any given time as sheeptotheslaughter and goon squad turned up after football, by which time sulky lad and johnfoyle had left for their long journeys home.
Kudos to MOOT who got to the pub by 2pm and got his train home at gone midnight!

Re: London meet up - Saturday 21 January 2023
Fantastic to see everyone yesterday! Well done to VG for getting it all arranged and sorted. Real shame that Sheep and I missed Sulks and John, but I’m sure we’ll catch up soon. A real fun evening with lots of stories, lots of G&Ts, and subsequently a fair bit of singing!verbal gymnastics wrote:A great time was had by all. Re: London meet up - Saturday 21 January 2023
I have been organising these for 20 years now.
I can genuinely say this is the best group and best attended. Meeting up at gigs is great but seeing everybody socially and more relaxed is fabulous, and there are always goodies…
Thanks to MOOT for the Chris Difford autobiography and sulky for the great CDs, none of which are commercially available

Re: London meet up - Saturday 21 January 2023
I must try and get to one of these.
As it turns out I was in London all day yesterday but I went to see the Unfriend comedy play matinee at Piccadilly, followed closely by Micky Flanagan’s comedy warm up show in Leicester Square and rounded off by Peter Kay at the O2. Nearly 7 hours of comedy with little spare time between shows.
Hopefully next time it won’t clash with anything

Wow - what a day!
I’ve seen Micky’s work in progresses twice now and am seeing Peter Kay next year.
Hope you can make it to a meet up one day.

Re: London meet up - Saturday 21 January 2023
Great to see everyone who could make it on Saturday - and particularly krm who had the furthest to travel. Thanks as ever to VG for organising this and for ordering the Elfises and thanks to Sulky for the music and supporting materials. This is one of many pictures from the day, before Sulky left and Goon Squad arrived.
