Name your 3 songs to revisit this tour
From my first listen to LOOK NOW....(as both BURNT SUGAR and UNWANTED NUMBER came to life on the 1999 LONELY WORLD tour), i am left to recall one of my VERY favorite new ones from that year: I DREAMED OF MY OLD LOVER. yes, it was released ten years later on S, P & SC...yet, I can't help but feel it's overall connection to the songs on this record. And throw into the setlist two highly underplayed gems from MOMOFUKU...
I think everyone will be happy to see in the setlist:
SONG WITH ROSE
PARDON ME MADAM, MY NAME IS EVE
I DREAMED OF MY OLD LOVER
what say you??? Pick three you think fit. Enjoy the shows everyone! best, ba

Pulling more ballads out of the back catalogue runs the risk of a very sedate setlist.
How about some more up tempo surprises, e.g:
Beaten To The Punch
You Bowed Down
No Hiding Place

Can't you see I'm trying to change this water to wine

Great choices...would love NO HIDING PLACE.Fishfinger king wrote:Pulling more ballads out of the back catalogue runs the risk of a very sedate setlist.

p.s. i don't find ROSE to be a ballad however.

Elvis’ take on “No Wonder” would be nice to hear.
With background singers on the tour, it would be nice to hear “My Thief” and/or “Painted from Memory”.
“Harpies Bizarre” would be nice (with its musical similarity to “Under Lime”).
I definitely agree with the first post on this thread: “Song for Rose”, “Pardon Me Madam”, and (one of my favs) “I Dreamed of My Old Lover”.

Oh wow, ba getting old. Two errors in time placement. Guess the duo tours of 1996 and 1999 got intermingled in my memory bank. Both UNWANTED NUMBER and PASSIONATE FIGHT debuted in 1996.

I'd love to see the return of the rocking version of Complicated Shadows.
And since we have the extra singers, how about Let Them All Talk.
And Stations of the Cross, just cause I like it so much.

Who put these fingerprints on my imagination?

I too love the original rocking CS. ..the Sugarcane version wasn't bad. I also loved the one from, dumb luck, ASBURY PARK, back in June 2002. I called it the 'Savoy Brown version'...basically A BOOGIE. i think i saw it also in New Jersey at Newark four months later. Sorry i still remain unsavvy at the computer or i would if i could. Maybe someone can share that take here please.Harry Lime wrote:I'd love to see the return of the rocking version of Complicated Shadows.

London's Brilliant Parade
Hand in Hand
(Because I think they'd nicely complement the Look Now stuff)
Poor Napoleon
(Just because I freakin' love it)
