Meeting old friends for the first time

Post by noiseradio »

Hi everybody,

It's been ages since I checked in, so I hope you are well. I'm in Toronto with my family for holiday, and we're going to see the Imperial Bedroom show Thursday night. Very excited.

I also wanted to pop in and say that we finally got to meet Blue Chair and Red Shoes in person. They had us over for a lovely dinner at their home, and it really was like hanging out with dear old friends. Time flew by, and before we knew it, it had been four hours. They are as gracious, funny, warm, and wonderful in person as you imagine. Thank you, Adam and Cari for unmatched hospitality. See you Thursday for the show!

Noiseradio - it's great to know you're still around, and really cool to know Cari and Adam - who were so prominent on the Board - are doing so well.

I also love that Red (Shoes) and Blue (Chairs) first daughter was called Violet.

Yes, still kicking and still playing Elvis tunes whenever a venue will let us. Violet is ridiculously cute, as is her sister. The entire household is unreasonably photogenic, really.

That kind of measured response would never have happened with the noiseradio of old

Actually, I just (on a whim I don't recommend to others) checked my first couple of pages of posts. Yes, I've mellowed quite a but. I don't feel like that angry young man anymore, and I have no need to be right all the time. (But some of the time...).

If I ever offended anyone, I'm truly sorry. I hold no grudges.

Except Zebrasnake. And if you remember her, you understand.
