Jon Cryer, star of CBS's "Two and a Half men" was on Letterman tonight and said that in the new season Elvis was going to be a special guest. No info on time or date.

I thought his appearance on "Frazier" was pretty weak, although the writing on that show had not been good for some time. Thank Gawd they cancelled it.

But it was a lot of fun watching EC host "Letterman". I'd like to see him do that again soon.

Cryer has been spotted (by me) at appearances of Jackshit, Pete and Davey's other band, chatting with Davey. So there's the connection, I guess.

Two And A Half Men is a horrible show.
This morning you've got time for a hot, home-cooked breakfast! Delicious and piping hot in only 3 microwave minutes.

Stars come out for ‘Two and a Half Men'

Sean Penn, Elvis Costello and Harry Dean Stanton will guest-star as themselves on the season premiere of CBS' Two and a Half Men on Sept. 20 (9:30 p.m. ET/PT). In the episode, titled “Back Off, Mary Poppins,” Jon Cryer's character becomes upset when his brother does not include him in the group's bonding activities.

Alan in Ohio was good enough to send me a tape of this. Truly awful, someone must have called in a lot of favours to make this happen. The only genuine laugh was Harry Dean's gag about wetting himself. The only other spark was Penn's Mary Poppins slapdown of Elvis. The rest was toe-curlingly awful.

Two and a Half Men - The Complete Second Season (2003)
DVD Release Date: January 8, 2008

Take a pair of bickering brothers, a precocious child, an ex-wife, and a meddling mother and you've got Two and a Half Men. In the sitcom's sophomore year, which aired during the 2004-2005 television season, siblings Charlie (Charlie Sheen) and Alan (Jon Cryer) have their living situation somewhat under control.

This year's guest stars include Sean Penn and Elvis Costello, who appear as heightened versions of themselves

I think that means all the other sitcoms now on are less than five years old. Not that I care really. Of course , CSI Miami should be classified as a sitcom . That hands on hips and looking over spectacle frames pose breaks me up all the time.
