MOre interesting is this part of the presentation:
or as giggletranslate puts it:
COSTELLO is multitalented, that has no equal. Starting off as a member of bands like "Flip City" and the "Mothertruckers" - at that time still under the name DP Costello - leads him his way through a number of renowned orchestras, ballet and opera productions of England over America to Italy, Germany, France and Russia.
The Mothertruckers???? Russia???

Songwriter-Legende im Ruhr CongressBochum erlebt den puren Elvis Costello
By Felix Gutt
10 March 2017
Er spielt klare, bluesige Versionen von "My aim is true" oder "Accidents will happen".
Zwei gefühlvolle Songs daraus erhalten in Bochum viel Applaus.

Songwriter legend at the RuhrCongressBochum is the only one to experience Elvis Costello
By Felix Gutt

BOCHUM Sometimes only one man needs great musical moments. Elvis Costello has played one of two German concerts of his "De-Tour" at the RuhrCongress in Bochum. Only Costello, a few guitars, a grand piano, 40 years of history. 2500 visitors traveled through a living life.
Black suit, black shirt, black trousers, tinted glasses, the bright red (later white, then lilac) hat as the only practiced pose. On the stage a huge 50s-TV, on which a crazy mix of children's photos, film-noir covers, drawings and concert-memoirs runs. The rest is reduction.
Costello is on "de-tour", without a band, he is his own "special guest", as he says. The songs speak for themselves, there is no lack of variety. He plays clear, bluesy versions of "My aim is true" or "Accidents will happen". Unleash his demons with an impressive loop crash at "Watching the detectives". Pluck gentle odes to "Veronica" or to his youngest children.
"She" and "What's so funny," bout peace love and understanding, "cover versions and two of the most famous Costello songs, form the final. In quite raw versions, without the studio pomp - and precisely for this reason emphatically effective.
What works for Costello is the voice. Always chirping briefly to the right tone, in order to meet in such a way that he reaches precisely the synapse, which is responsible for deep feelings. When he sings the ending lines of a song without a microphone, the barren Ruhr-Congress-Saal receives for a moment a concert hall atmosphere.
It is a stressed autobiographical evening. Costello has been conferred by his own life. Not intrusive but entertaining. After all, there are enough stories to tell. About his father the orchestra who was in demand, who performed with the Beatles and Marlene Dietrich before the British Queen. Or the grandfather, the first musician of the family. About love.
His songs have always been a direct expression of the feeling world of the Liverpoolers, as he describes in his autobiography "Unfaithful Music" on more than 1000 pages. This packs Costello in Bochum in a moving 105 minutes.
At the age of 63, Declan Patrick Mac Manus (so his bourgeois name) looks back more frequently. Without the fact that this would be for the Greatest Hits delivery. On the contrary: Thus reduced to the base, the 63-year-old man on the stage for minutes again to the 17-, the 35-, the 50-year-old.
Long songwriter history
Since 1977 Costello has published songs, has had numerous hits with the "Attractions" and the "Imposters", composed with greats like Paul McCartney or Burt Bacharach, wrote film music, had a jazz and classical phase. On his latest studio album 2013, he collaborated with the New York hip-hop band "The Roots".
Especially, he says in Bochum, he works on a musical "without cats and phantoms, but with the devil". Two sensational songs from this will get a lot of applause in Bochum.
