My Demon edition has NOT the vinyl b-side version. The Gentleman wrote:Can any other people who have the Demon edition of the 2005 KOA confirm which version of the demo they have? Since you put me down, it seems i've been very gloomy. You may laugh but pretty girls look right through me.

Fascinating (at least to me)! I'll wait until we get further confirmations from more folks with the Demon edition to say with any certainty, but I'm now inclined to suspect all the Demon copies went out with the wrong demo take. But I can attest that my US Rhino copy has the b-side performance. Funny it took 10 years to establish this!sweetest punch wrote:My Demon edition has NOT the vinyl b-side version. The Gentleman wrote:Can any other people who have the Demon edition of the 2005 KOA confirm which version of the demo they have? Okay to correct, amend and append, we now have:bronxapostle wrote:thanks John and doc for your always expeditious work!
okay...so, perhaps we are best suited putting them ALL here for comparative purposes.
though i did NOT see it performed live solo in 2013/14, i recall that version being quite plaintive and kinda lovely. so, let me approach it chronologically for simplification:
early ATTRACTIONS version (what was played on The Tonight Show and the summer U.S. tour of 1984)
B & C l.p. official
I WANT YOU (solo?) b side version
GCW bonus disc Confederates take
Singles box set version
2013/14 solo tour LIVE plaintive version
did i get these correct as potential DIFFERENT takes John???
Early Attractions version GCW deluxe
BLOOD & CHOCOLATE official
Solo B side I WANT YOU/KOA U.S. Rhino deluxe
KOA U.K. Demon deluxe ( solo waltz?)
Confederates take from SINGLES box set

Okay doc...as you have done nearly all, why not add here please the GCW bonus disc early Attractions version or the Tonight show similar one that started all of this
Heck...put them both for posterity sake. COMPLETISTS would request the Blood and Chocolate one too, though I think it unnecessary. Haha thanks, Benny

sorry, BUT I CAN'T STOP!!! here are some more potential different takes that i'm curious about.
despite seeing about 8 solo shows since 1989, i have never seen it played. and it has been played often. always as the one doc posted here?
i saw five RUDE 5 shows and never caught it, though they had played it about 18 times. surely i have a boot somewhere with it.
and my 10 duo shows with Steve, again i never got it and apparently was played at least ten times.
