he, as always, is very dominant when on the stage, but, naturally, the superb musicianship that has always been STEELY DAN and the depth of their catalogue is a joy to watch upon stage. Though this was actually the first time i did indeed see the band proper. i was at the show back in 1990 or so when Fagan was doing a revue type show with Rick Danko, Phoebe Snow, a Hooter and the crowd cajoled Becker into hitting the stage for the FIRST performance together on stage in many, many years. No denying EVERYONE was thoroughly into Elvis and Imposters while they were playing, yet Dan was NOT at all compromised by his outrageous set. Fagan gave props by saying "HOW ABOUT ELVIS COSTELLO, HIS AIM IS STILL TRUE." a great summer pairing for certain. GO IF YOU ARE ABLE!!!
