Surely Elvis will play a London date, I sort of hope its not the RAH again though.

Not sure where else he might go. Maybe a different show from the solo gigs.

Got my Weller tickets for Southend absolutely delighted. Just checked Elvis and there are loads of tickets left I may ask the Sheep family to buy them as an Xmas present.....

I've booked Brighton, Southampton and Basingstoke.

I really hope a London date is not at the Royal Albert Hall. I reckon it might be the Royal Festival Hall. The solo show for the Bluesfest was poor.

I might book some dates later depending upon what's on offer.

Usually I'd book a few more dates but the UK tour was disappointing.

Bought my Liverpool Phil yesterday from the venue +/- 11am. By then they had no double seats available centre stalls so me and Mrs Top Balcony are in the Circle - front row.
Nice lady in the box office advised me that the Phil's presale subscribers have first dabs on the majority of seats which are available prior to general release. After that they allocate tickets to agents ( eg Ticket******d) and can't sell these seats themselves even though they can tell they aren't sold by their "partners".

So two tickets - £85 cash on the nail (and hence no booking fee or postage charges) still seems steep for one man and his guitar army.

Can't wait

You're right about the prices - it's a lot for one man and an array of guitars (most of which won't get played).

I'm hoping these solo tours help him build up enough money for a full blown Imposters tour.

You guys are lucky. The ticket prices are what you should pay and expect with such a legend. They will only go up as he gets older. The US "Detour" tour is out of my reach logistically. Total bummer. So, appreciate every show and moment and have FUN!

Bradwellboy, I should teach you how to record and we'd have the whole tour covered between us ( except your recordings would all have some loon shouting for My Three Sons ! )

See you next June

Liverpool already sorted, 3 done another 4 to sort. Sadly no shows in conjunction with VG yet- I may have to detour to Southampton to rectify that !

Has EC ever announced further dates to a tour weeks, or months, after the official announcement? I'm just wondering whether I'll have to considering having a few days off and getting a hotel somewhere in order to travel to a show or two. If this theory of this tour being away from the usual places he did last year is correct I won't have anything going on anywhere in my county or in London. 2015 is going to be an expensive year. I just wondered why he told the Royal Albert Hall he would "be back early next year". Did he mean it or was it just a polite way of saying goodnight.

Great!

I might need to arrange work visits in the North to coincide with Elvis gigs.

It's not too unusual for artists to announce a London date after other dates have been announced. Paul Weller has done the same as Elvis - he's booked a load of dates with no London ones included. That could change.

It could be a matter of finding an available date for the Albert Hall. If it's part of the main tour I'll give it a miss and pick a smaller theatre instead. If it's a one off earlier or later then I'll consider it. I'm not paying £65+ for a show as poor as the Bluesfest one. I'd rather pay £50 in a smaller venue with more chance of meeting him afterwards.

Mrs Sulky returned home after a sojourn in Birmingham ( to see Deacon Blue live  ) and, having stayed later than first intended was obviously wracked by guilt and prototype bought me a seat for Plymouth, a mere 13 miles, away on row B no less . I'd rather be lucky than handsome though as VG said, a choice would be nice

Uh oh! Using the unscientific formula I've devised, if she's spent £50 on a ticket for you, that means she has spent £500 on herself or on something for the house that, shall we say, is not entirely to your taste...

Little does she know I've just bagged myself a front row seat for Birmingham which has been covered up by the fact that I'm really working and unavailable for Christmas shopping ! I'll make it up to her by allowing her to come to Birmingham with me to see the children.

What's on in Cardiff this year from what would have been a local paper for Chalkie Davies.

On offer was a front row centre ticket courtesy of Nicola76 so that's been added.

At least that's one show a week in June. Not quite like the month of Sundays in 1989 at the London Palladium though.
