i am at my MOST happy, seeing ELVIS COSTELLO...especially when he addresses us in the audience as "YOUS." now, THAT is perfectly grammatically BRONX English!
sure as shit! i feel the same. Brooklyn Bowl 9-16-13 just might be the last EVER standing in the pit for me. then again....johnanderson wrote:At my age a seat is most welcomebronxapostle wrote:pardon my American humoUr: a seat in the loo????????johnanderson wrote:

The good thing about standing at our age BA, is we can't jig about as much as we did and this we don't corrupt our recordings

I thought my GA days were over as well until the Vegas Brooklyn Bowl shows. I would gladly stand again for a show of that quality. But I am not sure how often show of that quality pop up.

Couple of row G tickets secured. What a poor website half the pages don't load. This gig as I am away for
RAH gig. Never been keen on RAH but having said that last time at BWH some 10 years ago was in the balcony and thought that a autopsy was about to start it was that sterile. Lets hope down below is better.
Now we're are the Liverpool dates , there is no one on the Empire or the Royal Court as far as I can on the 12th/13th

As I posted elsewhere, I'm sure there'll be a Liverpool gig that weekend. It's a shame the Manchester show is not keeping in with the theme of unplayed venues for the July shows.

Sadly can't make Mudchester as work schedules are impossible to rearrange. I'm still desperate to go to Seansea, just about doable on the evening but need to sell my Bexhill ticket - hint hint

Sorry you won't be able to make it to the City of Perpetual Rain. Lets hope someone else has a briefcase crammed full of audio recording equipment in the auditorium. Are you reading this BA?
Similarly sorry that I can't accompany you to Bexhil being unable to take your hint.
Enjoy all the shows

I will be there with Mrs Mikeh. I took her to see the Brutal Youth tour in 94 and she had a short break from EC until the Spinning Songbook show last year!
Verbal, did you get the book?

Mrs Pars and myself are going. Will be celebrating our wedding anniversary on the day of the gig.Got tickets in the centre circle Row G.Last saw EC at this venue on the "North" tour although I don't recall much about the concert save for a moving version of "Still" and spotting Alan Bleasdale and "Gail" from Corry. If you are visiting Manchester and have a bit of time, well worth visiting the legendary Piccadilly Records situated on Oldham Street.

Anyone fancy a pint beforehand?
Britons Protection is almost next to the BWH with great beer. Guess it will be heaving but I can't think of anywhere nearby that won't be. From 6.30 ish I'll be there wearing my Brutal Youth t-shirt, come and say hello.
