Edinburgh, Nicola will be pleased.
Re: Elvis Costello SOLO across Europe this Autumn
It looks like there is room for one or two Sweden shows as well before the German part starts. I am hoping!!! Otherwise I will plan for Hamburg.

Can you believe that the only day of the week Flybe don't go to Edinburgh in October from Norwich is Saturday

Re: Elvis Costello SOLO across Europe this Autumn
So maybe Scotland will be missed out in July. Maybe Elvis is gearing himself up for when Scotland gains independence...
It's unlikely that there'll be a gig on 19th as I should think he'll rest his voice. Maybe there'll be a Welsh and/or Irish show before Edinburgh. I don't expect anything in England after July's shows.

I can't make Amsterdam this time but maybe Sulky will join me on a romantic trip to Paris. And anyone else as well. Share the love
And I bet a certain keyboard player shows up...

Ticket links for two more shows:
Leipzig
http://www.haus-auensee-leipzig.de/?m=1&e=115298
Linz
http://www.posthof.at/programm/programm ... n-concert/
I am surprised that Elvis has chosen to play six shows in Germany. One of three German shows planned for last year (Offenbach) was cancelled and not yet rescheduled. Interesting to see how many of the six this year go ahead.

Edinburgh ticket secured Ok, so I had to swear at the Usher Hall ticket system a few times, but it worked in the end.
Spare front row ticket as I wasn't allowed to buy and leave a single seat on the row Like it hasn't crossed their mind that sometimes single people go to concerts too?
Now to work out where I fancy going in Europe this year...........Oslo or Amsterdam. Only concern is that Amsterdam is the 3rd in a row of gigs, and I don't want to be stuck in Amsterdam for an evening with nothing to do if there's a call off

Dublin's been added on 16th so let's see if there's a Welsh show.verbal gymnastics wrote:Maybe there'll be a Welsh and/or Irish show before Edinburgh. I don't expect anything in England after July's shows.
I'm trying to negotiate Dublin. I've got the go ahead for Paris.

So that's how I lost my 2 front row seats
3rd row is good for me and Mrs E

I had the middle two.........timed out........then the next two along........timed out........then two at the other side........timed out
I swore and made gestures at the laptop which clearly made a difference as the timing out stopped!
Every time I have seen Elvis in Scotland, the same chap is always there front row. That's been the same since 1996. I'm sure he'll be there front row again!

Re: Elvis Costello SOLO across Europe this Autumn
So many German dates, I hope they don't get cancelled because of poor ticket sales.
If this solo tour was happening in the summer, my wife and I certainly would have considered a citytrip to Dublin, Edinburgh, Berlin or Vienna. Now I'm only going to Brussels and Amsterdam.
With this solo tour announced so early (8 months in advance), there may be some hope that there will also be some European summer festival dates with The Roots. I mean, the announcements for the summer festivals usually arrive in March / April. So most of the tickets of this solo tour will be sold by the time the summer festival dates will be announced. Or aim I speculating to much? Anyway, Elvis's memoir is scheduled for an autumn release, so this solo tour will coincide with this and will draw attention to this publication.

Since you put me down, it seems i've been very gloomy. You may laugh but pretty girls look right through me.

Nicola - I'm pretty sure I know who the person is to whom you refer (not me). Go up and say hello in October, he has front row tickets again.

Does anyone have a link for Vienna tickets? It's one of the few shows without a "buy" button on the dance card. It's on a Saturday, within driving distance for me - anyone want to come along?

BWAP - the Dance Card link says tickets on sale TBA.
There isn't any information on the venue's website at the moment either.
I'm sure something will be posted here before it's on the website!

Re: Elvis Costello SOLO across Europe this Autumn
Thanks VG.
The way this will work is that tickets for the one show I can make will go on sale when I am travelling or on vacation. I will end up with a seat at the back of the house, if I get one at all. This is a little strange - only the Hollywood Bowl shows and Vienna look unavailable for sale right now. Is this in danger of not happening? Could he bag Vienna and move on to Prague that night!!??

Re: Elvis Costello SOLO across Europe this Autumn
Does Elvis have a huge fan base in Austria? I'm not sure you have a lot to worry about here.
I'll email you when I see the ticket sale date.
