Will Elvis continue his 'deep cut' form with Less Than Zero (Dallas version) tonight?

Stephen on Facebook writes:
Emerging from lurkdom to report that tonight's show in DC was superb. Jaw-droppingly good in places. Somewhere about half-way through with Beyond Belief things took off and didn't look back. Lots of songs for the devotee - New Lace Sleeves, Blue Chair, Love Field, Invasion Hit Parade. Top moment? That Day Is Done - EC singing his precious heart out as only he can.
And now I realize "Love Field" is the love song written in Dallas.

Another solid show. A bit more serious, we got the "peace" theme, probably due to the Washington DC setting. No allusions to JFK, although when he mentioned "Dallas" in the intro to Love Field, there were gasps from the audience.

The crowd was the best I've encountered so far. Elvis seemed very gratified by the reception. They sang along, they cheered, they applauded at great length after everything.

Highlights for me were a fantastic That Day is Done, on keyboards, and a solo sit-down version of Jump Up.

Elvis' voice, paradoxically, seems stronger than in the earlier shows I saw. He sang songs like New Lace Sleeves, That Day is Done, Cinco Minutos, She's Pulling Out the Pin, etc. in full voice in his upper register, and just nailed them.

The mood changed at the end, for Puppet. Elvis mentioned that the two year anniversary of Ross' death is the 23rd, so he had been in a somber mood all day, but the crowd had helped that. Still, Puppet made for a somber finish. I have to wonder what tonight's show (which I'll be attending) in Easton will be like.

Sorry, ba. Writing during the show is too distracting. So it has to be painted from memory.

One other amazing moment at DC show was Ascension Day. This was the only song where it took me till the 2nd line to recognize it. That song is hard enough to sing when Allan Toussaint is playing the music, but to watch Elvis sing it AND play the music on an acoustic guitar was really something!
