I'm there too, hopefully with the VIP ticket package except the tickets that I've received make no mention of any 'extras'.
Then on Sunday, down to Bristol for round 2

Will anybody be recording the shows? The UK contingent did a nice job documenting last years tour.

'Local eateries' - nothing too substantial - have to be in shape for the go go cage! Enjoy!

Very disappointing wheel. Nothing new except a row of question marks.
It's just like last year - same wheel, hammer of songs, cage, request light, sulky. MOOT, VG...

oh..boo-hoooo on you VG! at least you are there in the same building with the band AND the "same old" wheel. you KNOW you are gonna get loads of surprises regardless of what the wheel says anyway! ENJOY THE SHOW! Lord knows you UK'ers actually got us Americans a little jealous with the abundance of shows played in your part of the world the last 14 months or so. i haven't seen a whole show now going on TWENTY months.verbal gymnastics wrote:Very disappointing wheel. The only songs I'm seeing mentioned on Twitter are "I Want You," "Shipbuilding," "Peace, Love and Understanding," and "High Fidelity." And the opening song was apparently "I Can't Stand Up For Falling Down."

Twitter:
Elvis Costello brilliant gig. Leaves you wanting more. What a songbook legacy to draw from. Missed Alison tonight
He means Chris Farlowe, but a Chris Farley version would have been interesting too.Elvis Costello was fan-f*****g-tastic tonite. High point - a brilliant version of Chris Farley's 'Out of Time'.

i got a good trivia question as i've been singing it all day..."FRIDAY NIGHT IN BIRMINGHAM!!"
on which classic LIVE album by a 1970's British band does the great late singer intone this in between songs????
p.s. i shouldn't call them a 70's band as they do still exist and always have in various incarnations. but THIS line-up was premier.
