Elvis (and fans) on 'Desert Island Discs'

The long running (since 1942) BBC radio show 'Desert Island Discs' has a new web site: http://www.bbc.co.uk/radio4/features/de ... land-discs. You can listen to old shows, see who has been on, and who chose tracks by a particular artist.

Elvis' show was on 23 Feb 1992, but hasn't been uploaded yet. Details are http://www.bbc.co.uk/radio4/features/de ... 0#p0093ybt

I really love this show. It's such a simple and brilliant concept.

Thank you for the link to his list- the late Schubert Sonata performed by Brendel is a favorite of mine and my wife, as well. She often entertains me with it on our piano. The other piece I note is Strayhorn's "Bloodcount". That is an inspired choice. If you ever hear Stan Getz's version from late in his life, with Kenny Durham on piano, you will know why. I guess hell for him on that desert island would be 'pop' music. Final note -great to see the superfluous thing he would like on his island would be a piano.

Thanks. It was great to hear his dad sing. I was inspired to seek out more Ross, which is why I've now got this song running through my head in a continuous loop.
