Calgary is too much to ask, but it makes me happy even to know it is going on at all after the recent worrisome flurries and stalls.

And, frankly, that name, "The Revolver Tour," is simply not fair to use around someone who turned sixteen seven days before that other Revolver was released. It's just not fair!!

How spooky, I was just about to post this clip from the final gig of the first Spinning Songbook tour when it landed in Liverpool on 9th December 1986.

The featured artists are Elvis. Attractions and Andrew Schofield -"Scully" as previously pictured in the Elvis/Alan Bleasedale thread .

Anyway here it is : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ust6sw2ShGY

This and the other footage, which can be accessed from the links in the wiki are the dictionary definition of a "bootleg". This was an age where camera phones were not even dreamed of on Tomorrow's World. The film has blank screens, camera shake, in and out of focus, zooming in on the musician who isn't the one doing the solo, people walking in front of the lens, scratchy sound quality, raucous heckling crowd. In a word "fantastic".

You lucky people in Chicago

WOW!!!

Please make sure you come to the UK Elvis.

I would have thought it would be quite expensive to hold one night only shows so perhaps there will be three night stints like in 1986.

Fantastic news . From his appearances on radio shows promoting National Ransom (especially Richard Bacon ) it was apparent how much he enjoyed being a "radio jukebox".

Bring on the wheel and the dancing girls !

thanks woz...maybe it was because i tried selecting a SECOND time on the same sign in??? i was basically just practicing for "my" on sale dates and feeling it all out once again. one thing i gotta say, the service charge is not a savings really, but ELVIS does give us good seats so it IS WORTH THE PRE SALE!!! (or shouldn't i tell you? nah, i'm not like that)! they offered me 6th row next to center aisle! i wish i could do that big of a road trip once again! then i felt out the VIP package exactly $178 ($100 more than face value, as stated). that was when i encountered the PRE SALE SOLD OUT icon. maybe because i tried twice. so, good luck all....benny

Those girls dancing in the cage are extremely cute--were they just audience members, or professional Go-go Girls?

I'm pretty sure they were all real audience members--I was sitting behind the good-looking sultry girl with the tight purple dress, and she seemed like a genuine person, although chosen for her looks. But I have to say that Crazy Black-Dress Girl was a little unnerving. When she came on stage and could not stop hopping and waving her arms, Elvis had a great line, "We can put this to good use," and promptly rigged the wheel to land on four-song "Time" jackpot so she'd be onstage a good long while. I can't believe she was then given maracas, which I envisioned could be used as weapons in her hands. I caught her on video, which I'll upload to YouTube soon.

Also, the last couple chosen during the encore were absolutely adorable. They guy was a true fanboy, and he just could not get enough of being on stage with Elvis. He sang every word of every song, and played Pete's drum parts on his lap perfectly. That could have been me!
