Hello...

This is for all non-EC or peripheral-EC topics. We all know how much we love talking about 'The Man' but sometimes we have other interests.

Welcome libster. There are a couple of loonies in here, but we're friendly folk for the most part and don't bite unless provoked!

Hi, Libster. How are things in St. Louis?

Hey, just be glad you guys never have to deal with dry, smog-reversing, excessive heat an allergy causing, nerve-wracking Santa Ana winds, the dirty little weather secret of SoCal.

And welcome, Libster!

Howdy, Libster. Always fun when a new presence announces itself. If you meet a scientist from Rochdale called Phil, tell him I said hello. I learned a lot about St Louis by playing 20 questions with him and his brother, facts all about the place. All I recall is some memorial that's a big object in the city. How's that for crap recollection?

So how long have you dug the Elv, what period Elv do you dig most, and are you a Bob Dylan connoisseur?

It's the Gateway Arch:

And that is pretty impressive crap recollection.

Yo! That must be it. Funny thing is I never saw it, and had images of something like the Arc de Triomphe!

I did see him at the Pageant oily slick. Fabulous show. Only complaint was the crowd of drunks who talked loudly during the Delivery Man stuff, and yelled "wooo!" during High Fidelity, etc.

It was a great night, tho.

Well, Otis--I find I am in the minority in my particular age group to love the EC, (I am but a baby at 28...me, my younger sister, and my guitar buddy are the only EC fans I know...) but I have loved him since I was a young teen. Spike cinched it. That album kicked my ass...no particular EC era comes to mind as a favorite...I can't name an album i don't like. no, I am not a dylasseur, sad to say.

yes, we have an arch. yes, it is just as boring as it looks. we also have a smelly river! yay!

Welcome. I think it very safe to say that I am at or near the top of Who Shot Sam's "Looney" short list. So if you ever find yourself craving opinions that are diametrically opposed to the conventional wisdom of the forum, you can always PM me.

The comment wasn't directed at you - honest. Don't be so paranoid. This idea that you are the only one on this board capable of thinking independently is misguided and deeply insulting.
