Most Annoying Song By Them - new game

This is for all non-EC or peripheral-EC topics. We all know how much we love talking about 'The Man' but sometimes we have other interests.

I was wondering how we got so quickly to two pages of posts ripping Them songs. Heck, can I name more than two Them songs? Gloria, Here comes the night. And done.

U2: Stuck in a moment of We are the World.

Elton John - Candle In The Wind
I can accept the "Marilyn Monroe" version. The one for Princess Di makes me sick.

My Baby Does the Hanky Panky -- Tommy James
c'mon, that's a classic - several years ago I bought a cd player at Circuit City - and it broke with my Tommy James cd still inside - they laughed at me in the store - (they did replace the cd player - and got the cd out of the machine a few days later, but lost the plastic case - so I made them give me a new Tommy James cd -

Crimson in Clover, Draggin The Line, I Think We're Alone Now, Gettin Together, Mony Mony, Crystal Blue Persuassion and Hanky Panky - A HIT MACHINE

"Peice of Crap" is by far the worst Neil Young song

BWAP -- It might just be the programming geniuses at ClearChannel -- or whoever owns LA oldies powerhouse K-EARTH these days -- who are responsible. To listen to this station, you'd think Tommy James was bigger than the Beatles, since he gets more airplay!

----

Jefferson Starship/Airplane never did ANYTHING more annoying than....

"We Built this City (on Rock and Roll)" (yes, there's something about songs about San Francisco that sets off my annoyometer!)

Hey Blue, have you heard Greendale? Truly a Piece Of Crap...but over an hour long, ie. painful. Even if it's written for a character it's stomachturning to hear the old fart sing "We've got a job to do/We've got to save Mother Earth" as some sort of climax on the album. I like most of Neil's stuff though. I even enjoy getting through the shitty albums (Everybody's Rocking, Landing On Water...) to find the crocks of gold. But he sure has recorded a lot of Goodbye Cruel Worlds.

Greendale is pretty bad, but if managed to tone out the horrible lyrics it's not so bad instrumentally. Did you know that Neil played the whole album on the tour for almost a year? Poor audience.

Yeah friends were at the extremely exensive gig and I have the DVD. I actually prefer it solo. I can't get excited about the playing anywhere on Greendale, and I've certainly tried.

"Put The Lime in the Coconut" by the otherwise brilliant Mr Nilsson is of course the most annoying song of all time - I mean the mere mention of it locks the tune into your brain till it breaks.
I love that song! Especially at the end of Reservoir Dogs.

Replace "that frog" with "of life" and I'll agree.
