Isn't this coming out the same day as the big "London Calling" package? Too much to digest in one day - I won't be downloading though - don't have the know-how/technology/interest - more out of laziness than anything else. I'll admit to being more excited about the Clash (as excited as I was about the "Get Happy!" and "Imperial Bedroom" reissues).
Out of curiousity, how many here are going to buy "Il Sogno" as well? I really don't have much of an interest.

Everyone just needs to fuckin’ relax. Smoke more weed, the world is ending.
I posted this on Thurs 26th -
Just got TDM .....in a shop!

Yep, I walk in a little indie store here in Newcastle , England and , as usual, flick through the 'C' section , come to 'Costello' and theres a copy
of The Delivery Man ! So , of course , I grabbed it! Of course , I'm now maddened by the fact that I will not have access to a CD player until I get back to Dublin late on Sat. night!
Its a promo copy , dated '4/8/04', with a Mercury logo. So its a U.K. promo item. With only the 13 tracks of the U.S. version I'm curious as to why 'Pin isn't on it but , hey , it'll do to be going on with.
I also got in the same store- Steel Wheels , Vine Lane , Newcastle - a copy of the 7" vinyl edition of 'Accidents with the 'inside out ' sleeve,
a curio that has always eluded me. They also had loads of other E.C. vinyl, including a Canadian pic. sleeve for , I think, Olivers Army ( I didn't get it - Night Rally was one of the b-sides is all I remember).
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
On one partial listen - the album is a corker!
One long-time Costello fan , Mark Perry of the sadly defunct Beyond Belief fanzine, has also heard it and kept telling me in London (yesterday and today) that it has 'restored his faith in him (E.C.)' .
Now for bed - I'll listen to it properly tomorrow.

corker
Slang. A remarkable or astounding person or thing.
n 1: a remarkable or astounding message; "that story was a corker" 2: a machine that is used to put corks in bottles
( the latter could in away apply to TDM - a bottle of fire and emotion!)
More on the album later.
