The Almost Blue Cover is a perfect rip of the Kenny Burrell "Midnight Blue" album cover, recorded in 1963 with Stanley Turrentine and others.

Almost Blue is good, but I think Sweetheart Of The Rodeo is a lot better.

Agree with Blue about Sweetheart of the Rodeo.

The Almost Blue cover is clearly an homage to the Kenny Burrell cover. I don't know that it's a rip, but it's not an accident, that's for sure.

B&C, I'm surprised you even took the time to post. When I get a new EC cd, I rip the wrapping off and play it before I do anything else. So do you like it?

Aahhhh....I guess listening at work is out of the question. Too bad. Great liner notes, though.

You're in for a treat when you get home.

"rip" was the wrong term. Homage is better.

Almost Blue is in the highest two of my top five right now, and in my top five for favorite albums of all time. I love it.
