Someone should implement a feature on this board where a user can enter their favorite song at the moment. It could be like this:

Some php forums include "currently listening to..." as part of the user profile, and the song title is displayed automatically when you post.

For this board it would be just as appropriate to have
"currently reading..."
"currently writing..."
"currently contemplating...."
"currently drinking a glass of..." (you know who you are)
"just had my heart broken by..."

I guess we need an upgrade.

I don't like it, never have.

It plods along and seems way too formulaic. Is that a werd?

Anyway, I've never been that crazy about ATUB as a whole. I love all of the, for lack of a better wurd, ballads.

But none of the uptempo numbers, ie, You Bowed Down, etc. strike me as inspired.

The Other End of the Telescope being a notable exception; I weep during that one.

Now before you lay into me, remember this. I had a puppy when I was little and I pampered it every day.

Eh, if you don't like "It's Time" you're not allowed to like music.

I heard it for the first time lastnight .I've had ATUB for over two years, and never heard the song. Incredible.

Spooky noticed last week that we were a few versions back. It is in the works but real life has intruded. :) This is back to school time and it is hectic around here. We will upgrade in the near future.

ATUB is a totally under-rated record. (Oops, isn't that another thread?)
I love It's Time, even though it might not be a vocal masterpiece, I love it just the same.

On the other hand, You Bowed Down doesn't thrill me too much.

*note* I also had a puppy that I loved to pieces.

:D

WHAR I love it too!!!!!!!! It's so good that it almost makes a guy want to break up with someone and say the same things that Elvis does. In the song, there is also a piano part which is borrowed from the Greatful Dead song "If I had the world to give".....

I even like the weird and somewhat cheesy..."just before you reach, just before you reach, just before you reach" thing! ha ha

I've never minded it, though I appreciated it more once I heard the possibility that it was about Margaret Thatcher.

I heard EVERY Elvis song is about Margaret Thatcher... that, or Liv Tyler's mom!

Anyway, the album version of "It's Time" is brilliant. The Head Automatica-esque drum beat, and the beautiful vocal performance. I love his "Brutal Youth" notes he hits.
