Brilliant Mistake - Uncovered!

Post by clairequilty »

I was listening to Brilliant Mistake on the head phones (right now actually), and realized that during the verses there is what sounds like this really cool , melodic, soft plucking sound from some stringed instrument coming in on the left channel.

It's buried pretty deep in the mix, and I'd never heard it before, but it really brings a new dimension to the song.

Surely you're talking about the cello-bass thing that opens the song....?

I don't think it's the bass, but it could be. But it seems like a lighter tone.

I think it may be an guitar with a capo on playing in a higher register...
I'd never leave the house if I had a Gimp
